[Food] Jersey Mike's - Original Italian Sub Review

We're on a 5/5 streak, so I thought I'd swing by Jersey Mike's for a review. Inb4 you overpaid. I did not.

Price: $7.75 pretax



The original italian sub comes with: Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami and pepperoni.

Plus your choice of veggies and seasonings.

Short story short, it is meat, cheese, and veggies between two amazing pieces of bread. Their meat has no brand names on it, but it is basically your typical Boar's Head type of meat which is freshly shaven, as is the cheese, onto your sub. This adds another component of blissful flavor to the sub.

Sometimes they go too crazy with the vinaigrette, so I like to make sure they don't add too much whenever possible. That's their only downside.

The meats are just so good, and as you can tell it is loaded with it, too. They regularly have free chips + drink coupons as well as $1 off coupons, so I normally get this sub for $6.75, which I think is pretty reasonable.

This bread is a cheddar rosemary bread, and it is literally heaven. I'd buy this bread if I remembered to ask if I can. You won't find it on their menu, and they'll only say "do you want white or wheat" most of the time, so you gotta know about the bread to get it. That sucks for newcomers.

Well, High 5/5 seal of approval. The absolute best chain for subs.

I'd go here again, heck yes.

Also, if you go in March a portion of your sub's price is donated to charity, and on March 30 the full sales price - not just the profit - is donated to Charity. I think this is cute.

Looks like a cheap quiznos sub honestly

 

I went in once and got some sandwich that had chicken on it. It straight tasted like it was rotting, and my brother said his was trash as well. Never going back to that garbage establishment.

 

You paid waaaay too much for this one

 

Jersey Mike's is so fucking overpriced beyond belief.

I've been there once, I never went back. 7.75$ for the price of your sub is insane.

More expensive, better quality, better taste. Quizno's is pretty good for what they do, but their margins are so low that they're basically out of business.

I would probably have done the same in your situation. My friend got one of those if you're talking about the ones where they grill the chicken hot and she liked it. That's super odd though, I thought it'd be a place with no bad locations - I've never had a bad Jersey Mike's. Sorry to hear. I'd hook you up with a free sub if I were Jersey Mike's

Yeah but it is so good. Honestly, if you compare the amount of meat to Subway (which charges the same price for less of lesser quality meat, mind you) then it is better across the board. It's not all about length, you gotta take girth into the equation. It's like how Jimmy Johns is $5.50 but their subs are tiny.

 

I'll just get a 5 dollar footlong

 

Nah, go to Jersey Mike's and get a 7.75$ 3 inch long.
