Can they recover their account back?

Hi . i bought an account about 3 weeks ago from someone on sythe. I have changed the email to mine, and after 14 days it changed to my one. Also the recovery questions have changed to mine. His recovery questions that were there before mine, can these still be used to recover the account. So with an email and recovs, can it still get recovered by the original owner? It has been 14 days so mine are permanent.

He can recover it now, in 6 months, and in 6 years. The recovery questions and registered email address don't mean very much to Jagex--all they want to know is that the original computer is filing the report.

 

Yes; the seller can basically always recover it with his credit card info/his computer. Hope you bought from someone honest! Make sure to add your own pin to keep items safe for now

This right here is why I don't feel comfortable buying an account from ANYONE. Even the most reputable sellers can get bored and recover it / get banned from sythe someday and recover it. I just don't feel good buying an account, putting work into it, and knowing every day that it can be recovered.

 

They can always recover if they have the very 1st password and creation details.

 

That isnt true otherwise if they pass a recovery test the buyer should be able 2 recover

They can always recover if they are using the creation IP and at least 1 or 2 other correct deatails

 

Sadly after 4months of owning a zerker, it was recovered by a certain user on Sythe. It was my very first trade so I didnt know to take pics. But lets just say he will go down with me after I report that account.

 

I bought a account off a trusted trader on another website and I have had it since 2008 so basicly it depends if the person is legit.

Things happen, its all based off the person is legit

 

When it comes down to it, only buy accs from good people.

 

Account trading is the highest risk out of anything else out there. It's always best to buy from trusted players. As long as they have the original computer the account was made form, the account can be recovered pretty much anytime (using the IP that the account was registered from).

I would stay cautious when buying accounts and do a background check on the user to see their past trades, etc. before going into buying their account.

 

I bought a level 65 bunny from a guy here on sythe. many months ago, and I still have it.

 

First password, recoveries & email will always win.
