Okay with S3 just about to end in under 26 days or so. I'm thinking, since I will be hitting 30 tonight or so...

Should I just go through my placement matches and hope for the best..

or

Wait till I can get abit better and aim to get into silver/gold as soon as s4 starts.

Also, when does s4 start?

 

Since you get a soft reset, I would recommend yourself to play the 10 games, because if you're placed in silver, then that's fine, but if you're placed in bronze,you get soft reset, so you have a chance to get a chance to play your provisionals again.
tl;dr play them.

 

31st October is season end. Do your placement matches, You may as well get any free rewards you could possibly get, instead of wasting an opportunity?

 

You might as well just play the games. Any reward is better than no reward, and just by playing you have a chance anyway.

I believe you can replay your placement matches if you get into bronze.

I dont know if thats true though.

 

That was what happened to previous seasons, but you kept your mmr, but your elo resets, so for instance, you were Diamond s2, and you play your games in s3, your mmr is still diamond, hence you get matched with high elo players. Which means if you win all 10, you get placed better than the standard gold for the first time you play provisionals.

got L30, played 3 placement matches

1st match - i personally screwed up as vayne
2nd match - was support annie, ended up doing more damage than the jungler and top laner
3rd match - dominated bot lane with cait, got both turrets by the 15min mark.

Not sure if I'm always going to be paired up with shit teams forever.

Btw, why was I paired up with people in silver? No1 was duoing etc.

 

Don't play ranked until you've played 300 normal games.

 

did you just learn this? You probably can get away with it after like 100-games, but the people on your team might rage at you.

Only playing so I can get my 10 games over and done with before season ends, so I can properly study and not fuck up my uni exams :L

Ive played around 250, won about 150 in total over 2 accounts, don't ask why.

Played my 4th Match as Kha' Zix top. Went 8/2/9 and we won the match. It's just annoying how I'm always last pick.. But yeah, hoping for another 6 straight wins for Silver, if not B1/2

You can get placed in a variety of places. Ive done a lot of placement jobs. Going 10-0 has yielded anywhere from silver 1 to gold 2.
