The cause of botting bans.

I've been making general inquiries/reading up on topics.
I'm yet to come to a conclusion based upon all the bans/rollbacks/minor macro's.

So for more on the subject I've come to a few possible conclusions, and I'd like your views/input.

1. Free trade has been re-introduced, a lot of hype about Jagex's new found leniency toward the game has made players think they'll have better chances of being able to bot freely without any action being taken on them.

2. People are becoming more, and more lazy botting several accounts for profit non stop AKA 'suiciding'

3. Jagex are making a genuine attempt to solve the botting issues within the game.

These are just a few shortened versions of my conclusions, to gain more knowledge of the subject I ask you, the users of sythe to concoct a possible conclusion, so we can all gain a real understanding as to what's going
on.

A conclusion, and possible reason for Jagex's new found enthusiasm for banning botters.

 

Well, I feel like they have always had that enthusiasm. If anything, I think they are getting more lenient. I have been botting for a few years, and they used to have a no tolerance policy. Bot=perm ban. I have been botting on my main for months now, and I finally got a ban, but only macro minor. Ive made several hundreds of mills through bots, and a ton of xp, but only a macro minor....

 

It does seem like they're all about the money, giving you a slap on the wrist in a hope you'll realize playing legit will benefit you more.

Maybe the whole 'if you do it again you'll get a permanent ban' won't come into play, maybe they've become so lenient they'll just give you another slap on the wrist.

 

Ive been botting for 6 months straight, no ban yet lol!!

 

This is the reason a conclusion is hard to come by, some people bot for long periods of time with success, some get hammered straight away.

 

They are "infesting" the game. Just check any F2P world, nearly 75% botters, it's bad. Banning a few wouldn't hurt. If you know how to bot smart you won't be targeted.

 

But a lot of people claim to 'bot safe' but still get caught out in the end, with a slap on the wrist & a roll back. The money aspect of the situation seems to over rule the complaints by legit users. They're 'fake' combating the situation so it seems.

 

imo unless you are goldfarming or botting something pretty obvious or for too long then your ban chances are pretty slim.
