Leaches vs Piety

Im getting 86prayer for special leaching. Im trying to see Leach defence/Leach attack/Leach strength Vs PIETY. IM wondering since Piety is a 20% boost for strength/attk/def and leaches are 10% though leaches take defence down 25% plus leach strength gives you 10% strength bonus and the guys defence is 25% LEACHED so doesnt that make it 35% strength bonus? I dont know . Please someone explain Which is better, LEACH ATTK/STR/DEF VS PIETY.

 

Piety is almost always better. Leech (not leach) curses take a very long time to get to their full level, which isn't feasible in PVP and PVM because most fights don't last long enough to get the full 25% drain. Also, the 25% defense drain sort of raises your attack not your strength, since defense only affects the chance to hit.

By the way, Piety is 20% Attack, 23% Strength, 25% Defense boost.

 

Yes piety is Better, as Kero said, it takes awhile to leech all of the enemies stats.

 

Piety is better.

Leechs suck because they only give +5% increasing to +10%.
Piety gives like +23% (or something close to that)

Curses aren't any good till 95 prayer tbh

 

thing is that if you leech they also have negative bonus so their piety will drop 10% and will continue to drop...so the beginning of the fight the bonus will be about the same but you will have a higher bonus at the end of the fight

 

Leech defence is only good in a few situations like when you're in a group killing one specific boss (everyone gets an advantage from the lowered defence of the boss). And can be good for hybriding. But piety is better.

 

Piety is much better, Im still 70prayer on my main don't even think getting 95 prayer is worth the money.

 

Piety is better for your situations because I doubt you will be getting in long fights. If you do then go with leaches but your a main so if I were you I would get 70 prayer for now and then work on getting 95 for turmoil.

Almost all pro tankers get 92 prayer for soul split.

 

If you're not 95 prayer you have no reason to say it isn't worth it. I have 95 prayer and I love turmoil. It's a huge increase over piety and it's worth every bit of the money.

@OP: Leeches suck, just like everyone else has been saying. If you can't afford 92 or 95 prayer, don't bother.
