help me with these?

I'm a decent desginer, but i don't know a lot since i'm only at a year, and i'm self taught. i would like to know how i could create this image:

and how to make this one(with noob steps since i have NO idea how to animate anything in photoshop)

 

the top one just has a nice bevel an contour the probley added some highlights then added a texture set it to overlay then throw in some flairs an add a highlight in the middle an then sharpened it then added a cc maybe. the second one would be to hard to explain while using the keyboard on my phone.

 

Lucas did a fine job in summarising the first, for the second you largely need to google tutorials to explain how to use the timeline but basically you open the timeline and use key frames (like in most film editors) to exhibit the change. The sparks are either from a plugin or the image has been ported to another program (not sure which, haven't messed around with animation a whole lot).

Animations are with after effects using stock footage.

 

well i cant aculty see the animation on my phone idk why but it looks like particular a aftereffects plugin.

any tuts/help/tips with after effects for gfx? i haven't touched it at all :\

 

look up baker tuts he dose cod edit tuts but you can probly learn somthing from him. an tbh just open it an mess around with the effects just put them on a solid. an look up a tut on how to make a new comp that will help you get started
