Google Instant Search

My demonstration, so you know what I mean



Check it out.

This must of been implemented really recently as I only just noticed it.

Go to www.google.com and type something in the search box, anything. Don't hit enter.

It searches the web as you type. Try it out, I think it's awesome.

 

That's been there for ages..

Or did I just get trolled.....

 

Really..? Wow, either I've never noticed it or they've only just allowed UK users to use it..

 

Yeah like literally I've been using it for years.

No way I could of missed it.. Must of just been released for UK users then.

EDIT: We are talking about the same thing, right? It updates the search results as you type?

 

yeah thats been there forever, are you talking about like if you start typing in something like how much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood. its there before your finished typing and can just click on it lol?

 

That has been there for years (Literally) I remember using Google in primary school and that feature being there. I live in the UK too. Maybe you just haven't noticed it until now?

I know what you mean, Google searches as you type. I've tried it and is brilliant, a lot more quicker than a conventional search.

Btw guys, the instant search feature was only released today.

I like this feature; makes finding things much easier.

Edit: Even though it wasn't really hard in the first place>.>..

Its great because its making Google Distinct against other Search engines, this method has cut Searching down by half the time.

 

Personally I quite like it. Although the suggestions drop down box can get kind of annoying..

You guys thought I meant that the suggestions box was new? Come on, I'm not THAT stupid

 

Sorry, I didn't understand what you were getting at. This still isn't happening for me :L Hopefully it will start working soon.

 

I think you need a google account to make it work.

 

Yeah I've never noticed this either. I know that it completes what it thinks you're trying to type but I think this auto search thing will get bad fast. I don't want several screens flashing before my eyes when I try to search some history project.

Well 99.9% of everybody who uses the internet on a daily bases visits www.google.com more than any website..

SO EVERYBODY KNOWS.

this is as retarded as when you could play snake on google and people made threads to tell people if they have noticed.

 

That's cool, but it doesn't do it for me >.<
