I have about a $160 budget so what are the best graphics cards in that region? I currently have a Nvidia 8400GS 1gb PCI-E

Nvidia GTX 560 or AMD 6870 are your best bet.

Nvidia GTX 560 ti is very good, it might be higher than $180 though.

Honestly, you will need to post what motherboard you have. You may have one that can't handle high-end cards or doesn't have the right slots.

But, if you know you do. Then go with the GTX560.
