phone help please.

I have a phone and its unlocked and it says it can take sprint metro etc. do all i need us a sim card for that carrier or what? just tell me what you know about unlocked phones. its a duet d90

 

My friend works for a cell phone part of Best Buy and told me some phones just don't work fully when they are unlocked due to the original manufacture setting the lock.

 

If the phone is truly unlocked you can use any sim card for the phone, like AT&T or Tmobile or any other ones. I think there are only 2 exceptions for that which i can't think of at the moment.

So yes, all you need to do is take your sim card that you currently have, or get one from the carrier that you want to do business with and put that in the phone.

 

I believe you can purchase a phone from the company with a plan, and put the sim card into the other phone.

 

Man, why are you asking this, you'll find answers 10x better on google than from us morons. If it's really unlocked all you need is the sim card. It should work, so get the sim card from your previous phone and shove it in. If you don't have a sim card, do what TRUE GEARS said.
