Picture and msn required for GOLD sales

Yeah....
Basically what im saying is that People that are selling gold have to post a picture of their gold and them saying their email address in game.

I have a feeling that this would help reduce scamming greatly.

 

You need a picture in almost all parts of the black market, I always thought the gold one needed one too. But I guess not, So I fully agree. You have my support

 

So you want massive sellers who have many many accounts with their amount of gold changing all the time to constantly put easily faked pictures of their accounts with their gold that could raise their chances of being banned to prevent scamming? Verifying that you have the cash in game works much better than this.

 

I guess it'd be good as a rule, but most of the people who don't provide pictures don't get buyers.

Get a mod to meet you on RS, show him the cash via pm, the mod screenies the pic, then the mod posts on your thread. Sounds simple enough to avoid scamming.

 

I thought about getting a mod to check it, but doing that would be a pain to the mods, everytime someone wants to sell gold they'd have to verify.

 

I like the idea but like SuF said, most gold sellers have many accounts with GP on them, like myself when I sold GP. This could also be very tiresome for resellers since their stock of GP is usually constantly updated.

 

I don't think making it mandatory for a mod to verify your GP is practical. You can, however, use a mod's verification to boost your sales as your customers will know that the person does indeed have the GP.

 

I agree but that person would then have to update their picture constantly since they are always losing and gaining gold. And I think that someone made a thread like this before

 

If someone is a regular Gold Seller with many vouches (Such as r2pleasent, Zenman, h1j2q3) And so on, they will have gold spreaded on their accounts. People know they have the gold. If someone is a brand new - seller or doing a 1 time sell, I'm sure no one is stupid enough to go and buy off them without verifying the gold in-game first.

 

Obviously not if they're regular gold sellers.....
People who open up new threads and even if they have multiple accounts, they still take pictures. And instead of updating the picture everytime they can just edit their post and write underneath it "X amount of Gold left"

Or instead of taking pictures of their gold, if they can't for whatever, have a mod verify that you have the gold in game and post on their thread.

 

Yeah I support. Like you claim to have 500m so you have a pic with 300m and your name then you claim to have another 200m on other accounts. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

 

Support. This would help combat scammers posting cheap mills and then never delivering.

If you dont trust them then meet up with them in game, its what i do.

 

i like the email part of it, although it would have to be legible because the I and l are near the same in RS
