Starting PKing?

I've never PKed before but I want to start, what build should I pick up?

Was thinking doing Obby Tank / Mauler but not sure how to go about making them and what level I can start PKing at for fun.

 

A low level gmaul account would be fun

 

Go gmauler, since your new to pking, if you die you dont lose much.

 

If you have NEVER done anything related to player killing, I recommend you start off with a f2p range/2h pure so you can get the basics down before you try to mix in spec weapons and prayers.

A good baseline for a f2p pure is 40 attack / 70 strength / 1 def / 70-80 range. Prioritize having a higher range level than strength level and work on your weapon switching so you can "stack" your hits (two hits in one tick). Theres plenty of youtube videos showing this off.

Once you get comfortable with your timings, you can move to p2p and try out obby maul + range or gmaul + range. Pure melee kind of sucks at lower levels and most maxed pures will stomp you because they have been pking for years.

F2P Range 2hing or low level range obby mauling are where you'll want to start most likely. I recommend you learn how to switch and hit effectively before moving on to other types of PKing.

 

Yeah f2p is where you should start. If you want to start with members then make a obby maul. Both pretty basic accounts that don't require much experience in Pking and can turned the account into something different later on

Yeah i would defs try to start F2p pking first before anything as p2p you have to know alot more then just the basics

 

Make a Tomb of Fire pure, they are easily the most OP accounts in existence.

 

obby maulers / gmaulers (1 def) are great for learning to pk for a beginner

 

pure are really fun not hard to make accs and it's quick fights and combos are really cool
