The death of minigames

Anyone else upset that all the good mini games can't be played properly as there's no one to play with?

Castle wars - the only time you can play this is when a streamer hosts a game.

Pest control - does anyone know the clan that now runs this? is there even one?

Fight caves - literally no one there, ever.

NMZ - this is the only active one and it's done on your own.


It seems as if the vast majority of the population either stakes or pvp. The rest are either skilling or questing in preparation to stake/pvp.

Thoughts on why mini games are completed neglected in OSRS? They were my favourite thing to do.

 

Lack of worth-wild rewards would be my best guess, that and the decreasing numbers of active players in todays runescape scene, more people would prefer to level up/pvp/pvm or make money instead of play a game, inside a game for fun.

Might be wrong though.

Unfortunately, all of these games were created when 6 times as many people played Runescape, and inactivity only breeds more inactivity there.

 

We need a sythe castle wars cc I always enjoyed that minigame

 

No incentives for the few players remaining. There are also people who go there, see nobody & leave.

 

Jagex should organise a daily time for each mini-game on OSRS. That'd be pretty cool.

Welcome to what RS3 players have had for the past year and a half. It's a shame, but who wants to play minigames nowadays when there are methods of fast xp and everyone played BA etc the first few months of OSRS, so they've already got penance gear and void etc.
