    why were religons made?

why do you think that religons were made?

    -to contain sosiety?
    -to help govern people?
-to blind people from what they should be seeing?
-to deny people things in life?
    -to give false hopes?
-to help people when they die?
-to help live a good life?

    ect.

    give you opinion/discussion

    why were religons made?

Oh boy this will cause some trouble. Not that you mean to its just that every topic on religion gets into a war per say >.<

All I can say since I really have no idea is that religions were made as a moral guide line to help people contain themselves and to help higher society maintain order, as well as giving someone hope for when they die making it seem like its ok to die your going to a better place not rotting in a hole under 6 feet of dirt like you will be some day. Do not get me wrong people have a right to practice their religion however they want but once it gets pushed on me then we got problems.

    why were religons made?

Hmm, I guess so...where's shredder lol.

I suppose you could say the basic purpose of a religion is to answer the unknown, as I said. Then in doing that, it is given unique rules and what not to "govern" or atleast set forth a code of ethics.

    why were religons made?

Except - Many think it is unpheasable.

Personally, I'm Atheist, but I just say live and let live. Mind your own business. People have a choice, so it pisses me off when I get JW's and Missionaries knocking on my door for donations and conversion.

    why were religons made?

Well I would love to say I have an answer for that but sadly I do not, I can inm all honestly not tell you. But seeing is how secret societies have been around for a long time and so have cults and cults start for an obsession with an idea so someone passed on the idea of religion, and people became obsessed and cults were formed.
With the newly formed cults slowly growing in numbers they realize they can expand this and continue and continue. It could be a way to keep people oblivious to whats actually happening around them. Im not too sure.

and before the christians even get on me I know I am going to "Hell"

    yeah, agreed

some interesting evidance i saw in a documentary was egyptain scrptures were taken word for word and put into the bible, so we could say that christianity is a generic egyptian religon?

    why were religons made?

I think it was created because people found it hard to cope with the idea that once you're gone, you're gone. Nothing happens. Boom, dead. Sayoonara. Metaphorical "Black". Nothing.

Everything we know is all in our head. Once we die, and our brain ceases function, we know nothing, we see nothing, we do nothing, we are nothing except a rotting corpse in a tomb, or ashes in an urn.

    why were religons made?

I guess seeing is how there are many hings thatare not and probably will not be known seeing is how this ishow we solve our problems when we know nothignwe fill in the answer like cheating on a test you get your answers from someone else and claiming them as your own so therefore religion was almost a guranteed way to keep peope in stable conditions.

What didn't we know? We wouldn't have even thought about it unless someone created a religion to start off with.

By the way, that is why I think religion was created, and it's not half assed.

    why were religons made?

    Sure, well, I'll try.

We would have never thought of things relating to religion randomly, someone had to have mentioned it, for instance, in my religion, I am a proud Roman Catholic and Jesus along with others spread the word of God, no one would know about the Christian religion if Jesus never went around guiding people towards his faith.

    Hope thats clearer :p
