Expired offences

Does anyone know if expired offences (i.e. still on your offence history but not contributing to the ban meter) affect the severity of future offences? Say I have an expired temp ban for macroing/RWTing, would these affect if future offences of these kind would be temp or permanent? My understanding if that the ban meter is clear then it's basically playing on a clean slate, but I wanted to clarify - thanks

 

If the offense expires, it no longer affects the meter.

 

They don't affect the meter, but they can affect the severity of future offenses. Even expired, if you have an offense for RWT, you it can and almost always will affect the severity of future offenses of the same nature.

Bump. Looking if anyone can confirm the above and also clarify something:

I've heard about cases where people have gotten temp banned for a moderate bot busting offence, wait it out until it expires (does this also mean that it disappears from the ban meter? I read somewhere that macroing/RWT offences stay on the meter permanently), then bot again, with the next offence also being a temp ban. I've always thought that having one bot busting offence surely meant that the next macroing offence would be a permanent ban, but apparently not? But then again, if the meter is clean wouldn't that be similar to not having had any offences in the first place? Otherwise what is the meter even supposed to represent?

Do my questions even make sense?

 

I had a temp ban on one of my accounts for bot busting (major) a while ago. The ban meter is at the very end of the green bar but still says safe. Not risking botting anymore on said account.

 

I can confirm that Macroing Bans do affect the Ban Meter, even after being expired.

As you can see despite a two year old ban for botting that is expired my Ban Meter is still half full.
