Need help with bio-organic chemistry mid term :/

Hey guys, I'm a senior in high school and tomorrow ill be taking my mid term. I normally do very well in school but honestly organic bio-chem just doesn't click with me.. So I need some help with my study guide. Thank you so much :)

    1. Show the preparations of:

    a. Benzoic acid from toluene
    b. Zinc Acetate from any reasonable reagents
    c. p-iodotoluene
    d. Phenyl Acetate
    e. Secondary Butyl Alchohol
    f. Phenol
    g. Toluene
    c. Chlorobenzene

I tried googling the following but didn't really come up with the answers, mainly because I don't even really know what "show the preparations" actually means considering our teacher didn't really go over it :/
Thank you for all the help!

No I don't, honestly the only thing I know are the nomenclatures, writing out the structural formula, a basic understanding of the basic organic compounds and their formulas...
