This must be new...I know I had two different threads deleted...unless it was someone from the Sythe team. It's not a monopoly; A monopoly would be banning all gold sellers. And I am definitely NOT doing that.

I don't think R2 (or other gold sellers) have much to worry about. It's no secret Gold4Rs is full of idiots. They can't even have correct spelling in their advertisements. Not to mention their prices are pretty much the same as Inventor / R2, and they've had many complaints regarding scamming.

Sythe is only trying to increase his profit margins, and I'd do the same.

Agree ^^^ If Sythe can make some extra money, then by all means, do it. If the people cannot speak proper English in their own advertisements and are well known scammers, then we should do what any sane person would do and not use them.

I think people realize that there is a difference between legitimate Sythe sellers and these websites like gold4rs. People come to Sythe sellers like myself for a more personal experience, one where you do not need to wonder if "Susan" on the Live Chat is really an underpaid, overworked 14 year old boy.

People come to Sythe sellers because they have competitive prices, top notch service, and because we connect with the buyers. My customers are my friends, I know more about them than I do about most of the people I've met in person. Players have known about these gold farming websites long before this support forum, and yet many of them come here to trade. There's a lot to be said there, and I don't see it changing.

Agree ^^^ If you want to make some sweatshop worker earn your gold in RuneScape, and those are your morals, then get gold4rs. Otherwise, if you want to send your money to an actual person, and not some sweatshop that is supporting the corrupt "people's republic" of China, then maybe we should buy gold from actual people.

I was promised by the gold4rs staff that the service would be of high quality. It clearly has not been of the required standard.

Currently I am giving them some time to fix their service, and they have told me they are working proactively.

If they are unable to improve then I will be forced to remove them as sponsors.

The problem with them "fixing" their service is thee fact that it's not one person who knows what he's doing like R2 or Inventor, but rather a whole team of underpaid, overworked children who have no idea how to run a business, as they are working for one adult who isn't really in charge.

I support Sythe making extra money by partnering with Gold4RS, however they have become corrupt and scammed too many people. I would LOVE to see them removed as a partner of Sythe, because them partnering with Sythe is associating Sythe with scamming, which I am sure none of us want.

If they are underpaid and overworked and there is any BETTER alternative to their current conditions of employment then why don't they change jobs? The answer is: this is already the best job they can get in the current economy they live in. And without a job they starve to death. Then you come along and declare no one should pay for sweatshop goods. Well good work fool, now those people will probably starve.

It's an industrial revolution. The middle class only emerges once enough capital has accrued in the economy. Productivity = labour + training + capital. All they have right now is labour, but the harder they work and the more freedom they have the more quickly they will become productive and thereby prosperous.

So don't cast judgment on what you know nothing about.

Can i just ask about GOLD4RS, are they legit? It just seems weird that they offer prices i can't even get on Sythe and then they tell me to go first and wait 14 days for payment.
