Getting my username back, help?

alright, so my old main was banned a long time ago. it was quite a famous and well known pker.
Iv been given a 2nd appeal and it went threw an i my apeal is now pending.
I just found out thats some kid has taken my user name and has been using it in his display name, when i added him i see it like this:
[his current name] last know as {blahblahblah} <---my old username
so my name is not in use atm but its not available for me to use. so i was wondering wen i log back into my account if i am to get it back is there a way in witch i can reclaim my old username back? or do i have to beg the guy to not use my name?

Looks like you are going to have to beg.

 

Yeah I think the only way would be to ask the player to change his display name. You may be able to contact jagex and see if they will make him change his name.

 

Yea im just if i bitch to jagex long enough then should change it, besides as it was his last name set it will probably be available soon.
or ill hunt him down and make him change his name, what ever works fastest!

 

Or wait until the "Last known as..." thing disappears. It takes months, but it does eventually leave.

Wait, so am i right in saying that it's not his current username? But the last known as? If so, all you need to do is wait until he changes his name again and your old name will be available. Hope that helped.
