I don't understand the selling of ACCs

Maybe there is something that I am missing... but it seems as though almost anyone can recover their account and if they do they can just take the items off of it or keep it?

I want to know if there is a safe way to purchase an account because there are many accounts that I would love to purchase, but I want to keep them for a long time and do not want the fact that the owner can recover it and wipe it any time down the road hanging over my head.... that situation would be a huge misfortune.

There is a sticky in the account selling section entitled: "Accounts are ALWAYS Recoverable" if this is the case why are there still many people that do purchase accounts?

To be clear of what I am asking:
I do want to purchase an account, so is there any safe way at all (I know the title of the sticky says no, but if that is indeed the case I am wondering why so many people still purchase accounts) then I want to be informed of it, so I can have the confidence to purchase an account.

Well, you really just have to trust the guy whos selling it
If he has a good rep in the community than it should be pretty trustworthy, because if you scam, everyone will know and you wont be able to make trades ever again

 

Try find accounts sold by trusted people which are 100% botted for the purpose of selling. (You can tell by the stats, they're generally only combat). Accounts that people spend 1,000's of hours playing are unlikely to be legitly sold. However ones that are botted sre generally just created to sell & profits - they have no intentions of recovering it back.

Then again some people do sell their accounts legit and people do recover fully botted acocunts.

My advice - Make/bot your own account.

Best way is if you know someone irl and they're selling.
As in a friend lol if not then burden will always be with you.

but yes you are right, it is impossible to stop someone from recovering their account, the only way to minimize this is by trading with trusted members

This is the Market Discussion section and OP never stated he was purchasing an account.

OT: As the sticky says, all accounts are recoverable.

If you're not the original owner of the account, then the account is not 100% secure even after setting your own recovery questions and your own email address.

Just stay wary when trading and if it's too good to be true, it probably is.
