Gmail MSN not getting inviations..

Yeah well i set up my gmail to my msn an noticed im not getting email updates or when others add me i do not see that they have sent a request. Its weird coz as soon as i add their email they are instantly added an show up on my list. Its becoming quite bothersome an wondering if anyone knows what to do to fix it.

I have been throught my privatcy settings as i thought they would be the problem, anyone else here use gmail while using messanger ?

Any and all help appreciated, thanks in advance.

 

Messenger is supported by Hotmail.

GMail is support by Google.

It's simple, when you use a Google service on a Hotmail service, there a less benefits and I guess this is one.

I suggest creating a hotmail account to use for MSN, but Gmail for emailing.

 

The only reason i started a gmail account was because when i first joined sythe a i remember reading a post saying they were harder to hack/recover so yea.. but now ( like 7 months + later ) i have re-directed all my important shit to the gmail account and wont be looking forward to that again if i have to do it.

 

I believe they are more secure, but as I said their not very useful if you're going to use MSN.

It's like putting a Tel-stra (barred word?) Sim into an Optus phone, it might work but there will be less benefits like changing the internet details, that's beside the point.

Anyway, I'd suggest doing what I said, if not have you tried using Google Talk? I use it, it's pretty cool.

 

Might give google talk a go, but when i add others using MSN can i still chat to them or not, the problem isnt i want to chat it is the fact that i cant correspond and seeing as a majority of the market uses MSN for IM, it seems im stuck between a rock and a hard place.

 

As you said, the majority uses the market for MSN.

Don't waste your time with anything else, MSN = The best IM.

 

It's also the easiest to recover lol, 1 question bang...

 

Don't use your personal email for sythe, trust me, people would find me on facebook and it was pretty annoying lol.

Just use a hotmail account for sythe.

 

I have never had my RS life mix with my IRL life. They dont mix in my world. When i say important info, i mean sythe, RS youtube account, paypal and all the other virtral things, my personal email doesn't even know what a runescape is lol, and i plan to keep it that way.

 

I've been using Gmail with Messenger ever since Gmail was invite-only, and it's been working great ever since. You might want to check your settings on your Messenger, maybe you've disabled the notifications.
