Going to the dentist..

Well , It's been about two years or more that I havn't gone to the dentist ( family is broke , and I got some cavities -__-. Like on 2007 , I couldn't get a cavity fillings because " they didnt show up in the Xrays " bs . So then I didn' bother to go for until now ( 2009 ) and then Im gonna go. What are the chances of them adding anesthesia to numb the effects? I'm getting some " watery mouth " feeling that I wanna eat something sweet lol. Just fucked up.. no offense not being able to afford and some dentists don't even numb. I bet its gonna be 1000000000000x worse when I go there

 

If you're just getting cavity fillings, pain reducing drugs are completely un-necessary.. they barely even hurt

 

right, it's root canal and other serious procedures that hurt.

 

Yeah , I'm pretty very positive when I hear the dentist talk about stuff ,they say root canal a LOT.. but my doctor i used to go to did NOT use numb. It was so hurting.

This is what my bottom last two teeth look like ( at least one of them.. ).

My dentist never uses numbing, and I have to get cavity fillings all the time. It only hurts a bit

 

I got 4 fillings without any numbing, there's no pain involved, don't worry. There's a slight stinging, but that's it. Not bad at all.

 

You can decide wether or not to use the anesthesia, if its a mild cavity I wouldn't use it but if its major I would. Ask the Dentist on a scale from 1-10 how bad each one is. Its nothing big, I sometimes get it its nothing big they give you a shot of anesthesia in the gums its not bad.

 

Yeah , i think its far most worse..

The most I've ever had in my ENTIRE LIFE IS 11 cavities..

 

I had an abscess tooth from being punched/hit/trauma (idk which one caused it) to the face and it hurt like hell. I suggest taking whatever you can to ease/distract the pain before going in.

 

How about pain killers before I take go to the dentist lol

 

Last time I went I was really scared. Ended up I had no cavities or anything The doctor decided to mess with me and said "Have you ever had any problems aesthetics?" Then he let me go

 

Well umm, I cant really tell but they look like this :S I never had a problem with my gum.. ( doctor : oh dear, i believe you have gum disease )

They kinda look like this ? but I see no signs of black dark spots on my gum. But my teeth are never white either.. just yellow near the gum and white away from the gum

But seriously... Filling cavities don't hurt so bad unnumbed, but numbing them helps a lot. If you don't have them numbed, it'll be a few pinches and hurt for only like 30 seconds.

 

My teeth are so fucking crooked that I need braces for only the top part ( cost of 2000$ ) and this is how when they drill. Yes, it obviously hurts a bit, but why not take it like a man. It's more of a tickle imo, but it hurts a bit after that and fades away. It's not scary, and in your perspective, you shouldn't be afraid to get hurt a bit.

 

I'm very sensitive you know , If I used like mouthwash for more than 30 seconds I get watery eyes but thats me. Lol

 

Well, some are stronger than others, true. But, it would be very simple to just take it, and think very hard about something while they are doing the procedure. Just take your mind off of it.
