Animal or Human?

I'd like to ask one thing, Do you think of yourself as Human or an Animal?
Many people think just because We're smarter (as they say) and stronger than many animals in forces and alliances that we are Human not Animal, but yet It wouldn't make sense since we have close attributes towards the Moneky Species as known Evolution and Using tools and what not. Although this is fairly short I'm just asking one thing really basically.. Do you think of yourself as an equal to animals or are you superior? I consider myself an equal towards anything that can think intelligently, yet that would also lead into the question are Humans really as smart as say a pack of wolves, who know when to mate who work in groups who can detect even the utmost smallest movement of fear and realize what each other are saying by body language or even how they smell.

 

I consider myself vastly superior to other forms of life, since I have mental abilities that far exceed anything that they can conceive of. This isn't arrogance - this is fact. Humans are the "best" species on the planet, and have more rights than any other.

 

I do think im higher than animals, but i also do support animal rights

i do not want my food abused before its killed.

 

I consider myself superior to all other animals. Not only I but the entire human race.

We have adapted and evolved like no other species, becoming vastly superior with our inteligence.

As far as comparing us to a pack of wolves, sorry. Their is NO comparision between humans and any animal. Wolves can detect fear, but can the create cities and all the contents required to make them, a bomb capable of destroying those cites, or one of the most elemental forms of our supremacy: fire?

 

i would say humans are superior to all other life forms (on earth) because we can achieve greater accomplishments. we have the greatest problem solving skills i think the leading animal to match to humans are monkeys and they can collect insects with a stick, which isn't that great to begin with. but i would have to say that animals have different things that we don't. like better sences and reproduction systems. like cats can have a litter of young while humans can only have a maximum of like 7 over a 9 month period.

the biggest factor though is that humans have a soul (not like a spirit). i mean a soul, us humans are the only thing that can make decisions and have free will. animals base their life off of instinct and what they have experienced (been taught) only humans can randomly kill anyone for no reason at all. animals only fight for a reason such as; protecting young, getting food, defending shelter/teritory.

 

I am superior In Mind. But Not Superior In rights.

I Can Decide Who Gets What. But I should Not get whats not mine.

Animals serve me, not the other way around.

 

True, we are a superior species to most, if not all other species, but we don't adapt like them, we adapt our surroundings to suit us. It's a hard question. In some ways we are better, with our intelligence and opposable hands, but in other ways, for example Speed, endurance and strength, alot of animals are better.

 

We're a superior species, but I still think of the human race as just another type of animal that evolved to become superior.

 

Think about we cant really say Anything about most humans though.
I live in the United States and we have a Chimp as our president so I think might just say that we are pretty much equal to animals sure we have a great mental capabilities but does that mean we use it ...no Most of the world would rather spend their time watching t.v. which really makes them no better than cats. I mean cats sleep all day.
Look my point is no one species should be considered Higher than another....and cue flaming

 

Agreed to that, I do not care about the killing of animals, as long as they are not tortured.

 

Yup, we are animals, mamals, but we have better mental capabilities. We can think, and solve difficult problems. Our thinking is more complex than that of animals.
We are also the highest in the food chain. We have no animal to fear of (unless you are one of the few that is attacked by a wild tiger ) being killed by an animal.

 

I'd also like to add another point, to continue the post.

If you indeed consider yourself superior to all other lifeforms on earth, than you'd most likely agree that the earth is a ruining because of Humans and their actions. Carelessness, Anger (Bombing), Driving to work, etc... It's almost as a pure fact that Humans stand as the most likely species ruining earth? True?

 

I absolutely hate when people say that.

"Sure you can kill it, but don't hurt it before you do."

We're not that superior animals have been around before us and will outlive us, we burn out our resources pretty damn quick whereas animals actually form an equilibrium with their surrounding environment.

Animals don't randomly kill? pfft. Since when do we humans not base our life from what we have been taught by our parents of friends or society?

And humans don't randomly kill it is pre-meditated and if it's not then that person is mentally deficient in some way and that kind of drags down the humans being superior argument.

 

yes, tho look outside the square. what about other life forms in another galaxy. we very may be primitive compared to what else is out there. after all our planet is relitively younge.
i very much think that there are life forms out there that are alot more advanced then us, and so they would feel superior to us.
where not actually that smart, we are killing this planet, we will wipe out the human race ourselves before the sun implodes and swallows the earth

 

Humans may have greater brain capability than most animals, but recent studies show that dolphins also have human like characteristics when it comes to how their brain works. It'll be interesting to see how the study progresses.
