Vouch Standards

I believe Sythe could really use some vouch standards. I look at vouches that people have and it is ridiculous. I see stuff like

As you can see, this vouch is really sort of worthless. If someone had 500 of these such terrible vouches, half the people on Sythe would just look, see 500 vouches, be like OMG and do anything he asked. So here are a few standards I suggest:

    STANDARDS:

    1. Exact Service Rendered: The vouch MUST contain exactly what the person did for you. Does not necessarily need excessive depth, but for training the levels trained and what skill, if trading who went first, have about how long it took (for quests and firecapes and such).
Vouch: He trained me super fast and super long time he is so trustworthy omg I will use him everytime for the rest of my life!
Problems with example: Really tells you nothing about the service.
Vouch: Trained my range pure from 52 range to 54. Did it REALLY fast, only took 3 hours
2. Size and Enthusiasm Correspond To Service: Since you now know exactly what the service was, you can now judge how enthusiastic someone has a right to be about that vouch (within reason).
GIANT PURPLE CAPS LOCK VOUCH!! THIS GUY RAN MY ACCOUNT THROUGH TUTORIAL ISLAND IN JUST UNDER 27 DAYS! OMG HE IS AWESOME!!! SUPER DUPER OMG TRUSTWORTHY
Problems with example: Okay, he ran a tutorial island. 1, that is not that hard. 2, it took him forever.
RED VOUCH: Trained My Strength Pure for 22 HOURS STRAIGHT ZOMG! He is a training BEAST. He got my Strength up 19 levels and Hp up 17 levels! THANK YOU! Paid him 5 Pbp pins!
3. Name of Person Giving Vouch To: This would be really nice, due to some new people not realizing how to link quotes back to where they were posted. Plus most people do not actually check vouches. This means that anonymous vouches (vouches that the voucher does not name the vouchee) can be stolen by scammers and used as "proof of trust."
Vouch: This guy just rocks my socks
Problems with example: Does not name who the vouch is for. Just says "this guy"
Dusk412 is an awesome trainer. Trained my range from 1 to 99 in just 1 minute. God he is AWESOME!
4. Link To Vouch Post: This is for when people quote vouches in signatures and threads. It is related to the above standard. This way people, if they choose, can go back to where the vouch was posted and read the thread to see why they got the vouch (if someone forgets that standard), who it is really for (if they forget that one), and other details.

Problems with example: Does not link to where the vouch was given

It shouldn't really be required, but vouches that have more information, and come from a more respected person should count for more than a crappy "BIG RED VOUCH"

Who gives a fuck what your vouch says, you cannot simply re-inforce something that says that when you vouch it has to say a certain thing.

You can reinforce whatever you want if it is posted on Sythe.

Why does it matter what your vouch says? If you give a vouch, you want it to saw what you want, and how you want it.

I actually agree, i have been reading the forums and i see that many vouches look like people were paid to say that.

This doesn't help anything, especially with the problem of scammers fake vouching each other.

I had written a post saying that. I get so sick of seeing what was actually done. there should be more of a guide line

What else do people have to trust each other though? Vouches can be annoying, I agree - but they indicate a level of trust. I agree with the thread maker's point though.

Vouches are just stupid. They have NOTHING to do with how trustable someone is and Sythe.org does not officially support them. With that said, we're not going to add rules and regulations regarding them.
