    Give-Away/Event Threads

I think it would be really nice to implement a Give-Away and Event thread. I'm also a member on a different forum and these threads have been used the way they intended. Example: Someone wants to host a drop party, they would make a post in Events and put all the corresponding information for the drop in their post. Another example would be someone has some accounts they don't want, they could post the Username/Pass and have people take them. I think this would be a good idea mainly because it would help with lower members in the community, such as me, gain a reputation and get known. This would also bring in potential new members to Sythe as they would want to get free stuff.
Thanks for looking at this idea.
    Love, iGP

Well, we actually don't allow account giveaways. As for drop parties, etc, I think it's okay for clans to just post on their own threads that they're hosting a drop party.

I've always liked for contests, etc. to have their own respective threads. It's a community involvement thing.

I like the event and contest side of things, but a give away thread will just result in beggars imo

This. There aren't enough giveaways to warrant any change.

But as for the fact of an event thread, it would be nice to have a place to put contests and such. As for the give-away thread that isn't allowed as I read the do not post list. I think it would be good for clan recruitment dates or drops etc.

There aren't actually enough events to warrant an event thread, and those that are interested in the event can just check that specific event's thread.

Yes, but how many threads would you have to go through per specific game, don't get me wrong, you have solid theory. But it would take hours for a game like neopets or something.

I'm not sure I exactly understand what you're trying to say, but we don't host many events in the first place. Also, putting all events in a stickied thread would make them official, which I don't believe we're keen on doing, as we aren't the ones holding prizes, etc.

This is also on the DNS list, closed.
