Signs she likes you?

Hey guys. so, i met this amazing girl this year in class, and she sits right next to me. We started talking, and eventually became decent friends. I joined the swim team this winter, and coincidentally, she was on the team too. I talked to her practically every day between swim team and class, and we became pretty good friends. I've just now started to develop the thing for a girl, but i've known her for just about 5 months now, and i'm horrible at reading girls. She's pretty flirty in personality. She always likes to tease me, like ask me for a high five or a hug, and then pull away and make me work for it, or whenever i make a playful joke about her, she likes to jokingly punch/hit me and ask me to fight her. Every once in a while when we're standing together or i'm sitting, she'll lean on my shoulder/my head say that she's tired. Only thing that's deterring me, is that during the season she told me that she liked another guy from some other school. Now, i don't know if she was serious, or just testing me, but i feel like if she already has her sights set on somebody, i'd probably would have no chance with her, and i can't tell for my life.

What are some telltale signs if a girl likes you? Am i on track, or totally friend-zoned? Thanks

 

I think you have been "friend-zoned" unfortunately, typically if a girl tells you that she likes some guy, she is doing it for one of two reasons...

1. she likes you and is just trying to get a rise out of you

or...

2. she treats you as a friend she can talk to anything about, possibly getting the vibe you just want a friend or are a homosexual (no offense intended but women tend to be drawn to gay men as friends).

Best bet is to say that you have an interest in a girl, and tell her you aren't sure what she thinks of you, be flirty with it but kind of mysterious. It will perk her interest and she'll question you more, you'll want to say some things, such as mention she's on the swim team and other hints that its her.

You'll want to watch her reaction, she may be very interested or immidiately get it and play coy or draw back knowing that you're talking about her. Women are very hard to read so you'll have to play it by ear, sorry if this wasn't much help but best advice I can give as a girl myself, good luck. <3

 

Ask her out, and you will know. You have a thing for the girl, you talk to her, just go for it.

But it also sort of sounds like you've been friendzoned, but you never know until you try, right?
