Imposter Scam: just2sell and imposter Realist [RESOLVED]

Realist never had the Skype "Live:realistgold_1"

Unfortunately, you were part of a man-in-the-middle scam. Somebody approached Realist pretending to be you, that's how you got the PM from him. When you trade, ALWAYS make sure that the PM text matches the text with whom you're speaking. You can even tell that in the PM and in your Skype, the fake realist offered a better rate. He asked if it was you on the other skype because somebody was trying to pretend to be you in order to get a PM to your account.

Please uncrop the screenshots of the Skype chats so the moderators can fully investigate the case.

He added your skype because he figured out the person talking to him was not you, as shown in this picture:



As for how he got your Skype, it's easy when you make your Skype public, a simple google shows this:

His Skype went from ramozey to live:realistgold. There is no need for accusations if you have no proof to back up your claims. He never owned the Skype live:realistgold_1

It's understandable, everybody has been scammed, including me. I'm sorry for your loss, but Realist is not responsible for this scam.

 

I originally thought this was a frame attempt against Realist as opposed to an imposter, however @PureAddiction messaged me walking through the 'middleman scam', and other parts of the report, and so there's too much doubt to suggest that just2sell tried to frame Realist. Accordingly, this is just an imposter scam.

Realist added me to the Skype conversation from the beginning, and I listened to both sides for over an hour, and here is what happened:

There are 4 Skype's involved:

• live:realistgold [legitimate Realist]
• live:realistgold_1 [fake Realist]
• just.sell [legitimate just.sell]
• live:just.sell [fake just.sell]

live:realistgold is @Realist 's legitimate account. just.sell is @just2sell 's only Skype account (he alleges). Who then are the other 2 Skypes? just2sell says he had fake Realist added on legitimate just.sell weeks ago. He then initiated a chat with fake_realist asking for a bank transfer, and later requested a PM from Realist. Concurrently, legitimate Realist was chatting with fake just.sell wanting PayPal, and requested a PM from Realist. Realist PM'd just2sell on Sythe. Just2sell then traded with fake Realist. just2sell asks how could Realist PM just2sell if there he wasn't the fake Realist, as how would he have known who to PM? The answer was that there was also another imposter by another person who talked to both of you concurrently.

As to why Realist added you on Skype afterwards, he said he did so after this event. He found your skype from your past content (it's publicly available on Sythe). The 3 Skype's (except Realists's legitimate account) all resolved to the same IP, and so I was suspicious at first; @PureAddiction however said it could just resolve to a UK Proxy or w/e, and so I'll defer to someone who knows more about Skype on that. I was also suspicious because just2sell couldn't take pictures of the add date, however and said Skype didn't save the log or something, however, if the imposter added just2sell weeks ago, and didn't chat to him, then it wouldn't have made a difference. Accordingly, there's not enough evidence that there was a framing attempt on either party, and Realist acted appropriately by PMing his Skype, the Skype he was talking to, and an extract of the text. That is a perfect PM.

I'm sorry this took a while to resolve - I'm sorry for your loss just2sell. I'll lock this thread and have another mod look at it to confirm/deny. @PureAddiction helped clarify things for me a lot, so shoutout to him. Relevant pictures are below.
