Fnatic Lost 2-0 To Astralis MLG 2016

Fnatic got destroyed by Astralis .

This will be the first Final since August 2014 to not have Fnatic/Envy/LDLC.

Was a great show from Astralis. It was a proper strong win too and as you said will be great to see a different final from the norm

I'm honestly not sure who will win. But it will be good to watch

 

I'm completely clueless who will win.

I also feel Astralis got extremely lucky on the map picks also, so dunno how they'll be against luminosity

 

Astralis is the #1 team in the world at the moment in my eyes.

Their knowledge of every aspect of the game is beyond that of any other team out there at the moment. Especially having Karrigan, a player who is a born CS leader who isn't afraid to take chances outside of the normal Pro play style.

They are looked at by other teams as careless, in my eyes they are just unpredictable on purpose and it is effective.

 

I wish I had just a bit of Karrigan's chill. Its crazy how calm he stays, and it makes a big difference in the team and makes him a great leader as you said.

 

Fnatic just didn't seem to have their usual star power. They'll spend time analysing their game and come back stronger I predict.

Luminosity will beat Virtus Pro in the last quater final.

NaVi will beat Australis (They won their last 3 round encounter and I expect the same to happen this time around).

Luminosity will beat Team Liquid. Team Liquid has done well to get as far as they have, it's historic even but Luminosity will come out victorious and head into the finals.

NaVi will beat Luminosity in the finals, it'll go the whole distance, 2-1 NaVi.

 

I've been waiting for a good showing from Astralis/ex-TSM for such a long time. Hopefully LG will win, they deserve the most imo.

 

I felt that with Fnatic's dominance some of the players didn't feel like they're taking it seriously. An example of this is Olof buying a nova on the 3rd round instead of a rifle.

Currently Watching Astralis Vs Na'Vi.
The Inerno Map was imo a bullshit loss for astralis as they've lost so many rounds to force buys/eco. not to mention Edward carried the shit out of Na'vi.

LG imo is the last team i'll ever root for lol.
From players + team owner giving death threats to S1mple, to FNX having a Vac Banned account registered on an old esea account (Which we still don't know if it's for 1.6 or csgo.)

I think NA'VI will win, they are all playing really well atm.

 

I was surprised that Astralis didn't shut out that game on Inferno. On 14-14 after winning consecutive rounds to get to that point they lose to a force buy of tec-9's against their full buy. Dust 2 though, was a complete domination by NaVi. If Edward hadn't stepped up and gotten those 32 frags it would've been an easy win for Astralis on Inferno.

I'm watching Liquid VS Luminosity, I want Liquid to win but I still feel that Luminosity will pull through with a 2-1 win.

Fnatic though... My favorite team. But this tournament, Olof said he was having issues with his wrist so that may be the reason behind his lackluster performance this tournament. Even Krimz, he was T-bagging players left and right, and then doing 360 spins ever so often. Literally have no idea what sort of mind set Fnatic had, but I hope they recover and come back next tourny.

 

In regards to Astralis, rip their dream. They had an extremely good chance to actually win this major (they got destroyed on dust2, just referring to inferno)
Just watched liquid vs lg game, I'm surprised what a game liquid gave. I expected complete domination from lg but both games where extremely close.

As to fnatic, I don't know. I believe all the success got to their head. Mentioning krimz i remember him spraying 2 ak clips to dead astralis members for no reason like he's got a problem with everyone. From now on the Danes will be my favorite team.


Now Na'vi vs LG.
The game is completely dependent on what maps get picked. Both teams need their players to step up

Liquid showed way too much respect for LG in the second half, all they needed was 1 point for the map but they choked. S1mple and Hiko fell off after dominating the first half. They might as well have made an unexpected/risky play to get that last round because playing safety did not work out for them at all.

As you said, the finals will be upto map choices because both teams are incredibly skilled on all fronts so it's all on who's better at which map.

 

This was the best chance of an na team to get to the finals. I doubt we'll see it happen anytime again soon.

 

Welp, LG was suh good. I thought NaVi would win but they got outplayed. LG feels like Fnatic to me ATM.

Yeah, I just meant in terms of how I feel when they play. I felt as if there was literally no chance of them losing the finals once it got to a point. I only just started reading up on the death threats against S1mple etc after you mentioned it, and the VAC bans and have to say I'm not a fan anymore. Like honestly, what type of professional gamer lashes out at another player with death threats...

I hope Fnatic comes back and destroys them in the next tournament.
