Shisha Smoking

I am thinking about running by the local tobacco store and seeing if they have a hookah and some shisha. I was wondering if you hookah heads out there had any advice for a newbie.

you can find tons of videos about setting up and the sort of stuff you're looking for. There are also several forums which can give you a BETTER idea than we can. I know stuff about Shisha but wouldn't really consider myself an expert. Add me on skype if you can and I can help you there too.

 

I'll have to catch you tomorrow, I am about to head to bed. I watched 5 or 6 videos and I figured out how to set it up and all.

 

Dont overfill the bowl, if it gets too close itll actually BURN as opposed to kinda vaporize leaving you with nasty tasting, harsh smoke. On that same token dont use too much coal as it will overheat the shisha. Be carefull when poking holes in the foil you use as a screen for the coal so you arent sucking the ashes from the coal into your tobacco. When the shisha is done you should be left with a hard BLACK clump, it should never actually turn to ash to keep a good flavor and the smooth smoke you expect. Another protip is use wood coals and buy a butane torch to speed up the process of lighting said coals, the self starting coals are nice but are coated with gunpowder to speed ignition which can foul up your smoke early on. If you want to use them i suggest you light them away from the hookah and only place on your foil after its all embers.

Sorry for wall of text haha, I just has learned most of this the hardway haha. Another cool idea i picked up from my local hookah bar is to use sprite instead of water! The heat of the smoke makes the soda evaporate and you can really taste it! I have only tried sprite and ginger ale so im unsure of the results with other drinks (post results if you find something tasty). Also add ice cubes to cool the smoke for a smoother tastier pull, this is definitely worth while to do. Hope this helps.

 

Id go to your local shisha bar and ask around there. Shisha bars are really relaxed places.

 

No local shisha bars sadly, or I would be hitting them up.

 

if you know how to set it up, I'd advise you start smoking it. It's like sort of trial and error and you will eventually get the hang of it. I advise you starbuzz or fantasia flavours. They are very nice.

 

+1 on starbuzz. Pricey but really tasty and seems to burn longer.

Your information is backed by absolutely nothing. You arent supposed to deeply inhale shisha, more so just relax and puff on it. Im sure it would prove more harmful if it were something you were inteded to burn to ashes and inhale deeply but its NOT.

If hes smoking anything nero is aware of the risks involved.

Mate, please go research how long does a cigg even take to finish 2mins? That's harmful but imagine smoking a shisha pot for 1hour+ you wouldn't say that's bad?

 

Look you deeply inhale a cigarette and incinerate it to ashes. Shisha you puff on and are ideally left with a clump of shit at the end not ashes. The reason shisha lasts so long is that it is coated in mollasses and flavoring not because its some HUGE amount of tobacco.

You can also smoke and inhale burning dog shit but that doesnt mean you are supposed too.. i understand you puff on hookah and inhale lightly but i have NEVER seen anyone really just deeply inhale it like a cigarette user would a cigarette. That is unles they are underage and trying to get "high" or something. Back your shit up with some proof, mayo clinic cant definitively prove anything either way. Fact is tobacco is tobacco.
