Opinions on this please. I just started playing league when I came to Korea (US Army duty station) and i've never had anything less than a 180-220 ping, depending on my ISP.

Recently, I've been playing on the Korean server.
    (I can't read a damn thing, here's a pic xxxxx.)

I've noticed that things I thought I was just "bad" at, I'm progressively improving at.

    Examples:
Making plays with more difficult champions that require many keystrokes, skillshots and reaction speed

Orbwalking (impossibru on an unstable 220)

    CS'ing

Trading quickly in lane (Renekton is my main example, the classic e>w>q>e (with AA's weaved ofc) is a lot simpler to pull of on the korean server.

Jumping walls with non-flash (Riven third q, nid pounce)

Anyone been through something like this, or played on servers that you're not close to?

For reference, I'm Plat 5 on NA (About Gold 3-4 skill level, got lucky and duo'd with a boss for promos)
and unranked in Korean, but I've competed with their silvers equally. (If you're never played on Korean server, don't laugh. Try playing your division over here, GG reported for feedernub.

Also, what are some things that took you the longest to master? Personally, champions like draven, camera movement, orbwalking and teamfights.

Ofcourse it makes a difference. Reaction speed can save your life. If you are lagging it decreases your reaction speed, therefore ending up in your death sometimes.

200 ms is the difference between you flashing that wall or dying. Its the different between you poppin dat ult on Tryndamere and spinning away. I can't play on anything over 80 , it feels insanely laggy at that point and my skill drops considerably. So you were getting this lag while in korea on US servers or while in US on US servers?

I played diamond level on NA with 250 ping, and could orb walk, and do the rest you mentioned. Harder, yes, impossible? Not at all.

I usually play around 140 ping, and I notice people with better ping being able to outplay me sometimes solely because of ping. It's definitely still playable, but lower is always better. East coast server, rito pls.

I play with around 150-200ms ping every game as a minimum, with spikes up to 300ms very often. It's almost intolerable but the game is still enjoyable so I've just learned to live with it...

I played up until plat 2 with 400+ ping and sometimes entire dc's.

Internet does effect your performance ofc, that can't really be debated. But it doesn't effect your shot calling and still knowing what to do in certain situations, so it's limiting but honestly it's not even mechanical skill that carries games.

When I changed providers I got my diamond but none the less, work on shot calling and not your mechanics, they will come when you can play on decent net.

When i lag spike i simply knoq it's time to change my play style. Safer, smarter, and more objective based instead of kills. Obviously anything over 150+ ping significantly impacts your gameplay (especially the laning phase), and against equal skill players you're much more likely to lose.

Harder? Yes. Impossible? No. I can still orbwalk, but it certainly is much easier on 45 ping on the Garena servers. I mainly play initiators now though, so it doesn't matter what ping I have in my opinion, as long as you make the right decision you win games.

I can't really orbwalk anymore unless I have 70 ping or less.
