Banned if we block ads?

I think its bullshit that you are actually considering banning people for blocking your god damn porn ads. I mean honestly, Lots of the people on this forum are 12-14 (not I), and if their parents walked in to the room with some stripping popup, i think they might be a little pissed. I myself don't block the ads, because i don't have to worry about it. But come the hell on, get decent ads or get used to people blocking them.

 

No one has ever been banned for blocking ads.

I don't think its fair I mean I can block adds on other forums well most of them don't have as many ads as sythe....

Its probably just a way to get more $$$

Well thats hard to know for sure. Let me put it to you like this

If your a webmaster would you seriously continue paying for a server to a website just for the hell of keeping it up? No you have to be getting something in return which is his case would be some profit.

You of course will never know it for sure because I doubt he would post some screens of exactly how much he makes from this site.

 

who cares it helps pay for are sever. more ppl viewing ads = better server
less ppl viewing ads = crappy server. The more ppl who come = better server.

 

If you block ads, I suppose it would be wise not to say so.

 

I didn't say that they were getting banned, yet, I have read that it "isn't out of the question" however.

 

I agree, Some of those adds are worthless, personally i want them changed.

 

I agree some adds are inapropriate for nearly half sythes users but hell i'd rather have sythe up and running rather than sythe shutting down because they can't pay to host the site.

 

Sythe is just worried about his profit. Cool it. Most of the users who have been here ~3-4 years are tech-savvy enough to block ads. The new kids are the ones making him money, so why he is threatening Jansen etc. I don't know.

 

It's just stupid to block them. It's nothing annoying, and it does help pay for shit.

Just use FF.. I don't get any ads.. on any site and I don't have my own pop-up blocker. And I never had any porn ads.. (Wish I did)
