Get Rid of ALL Ads In Skype!

Hey everyone!

I figured I would post this to help you all get rid of those annoying ads in Skype, especially because a lot of us do use Skype here. This is pretty simple, and I gurantee you will thank me later me for it. Here is how to do it:

- Quit Skype completely
- Open Control Panel, and in the search bar type "internet Options" and then click where it says "Internet options"
- Navigate to the Security Tab, Click Restriced Sites, and then in the pop up box, click Sites

- Add the following addresses:
apps.skype.com
g.msn.com

Apply and close it all out

- Next, navigate to C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Roaming\Skype
- Enter the folder that matches your skype username
- Right click the file named "config.xml" and select open with... and then select notepad
- Press Ctrl+F and in the search box type AdvertPlacement
- You should see <AdvertPlaceholder>1</AdvertPlaceholder> so change the 1 to a 0 and save file
- Close out notepad, and then reight click config.xml and select properties
- Check the box next to Read Only and ht Apply and Ok
- Restart Skype
