Trying to remain calm & not flame?

So generally I'm pretty chilled out during the game, but some games I can't fathom people.
So, last game I was TF against Kassa mid, tough lane for me.

Yi Jungle, then blah blah.
Anyway, Yi comes to gank mid, so I turn aggressive & stun Kassa, yi decides to sit in the bush, wait for the stun to ware off & runs in, deciding to dive kassa under the turret at level 3, giving Kassa first blood & blue. So the laning phase went down hill ridiculously, Kassa was able to poke the hell out of me & there was nothing I could do, Yi refused to even say anything.
So on top of this Yi wouldn't give me a single blue..

How're you meant to stay calm when you're playing with idiots? I can't get my head around peoples logic, I didn't flame him once during the game, but It's proper annoyed me.

 

Easy... remind yourself it is just a game. None of it will matter in a few years, hopefully. No use getting upset over something that doesn't matter. There's always the next game. Etc.

 

This pretty much. You most likely will forget about this game by tomorrow (the actual match), so why get so worked up over it.

 

After nearly being banned from the game for my use of language, and examples from Ocelote or Dyrus being displayed, I decided to not respond to comments in-game unless incredibly relevant.

The only way I really communicate with my team is pings, and people only respond to those 25% of the time (so it seems).

I have had more productive games as a result, and feel better as well. Although you may be upset after the 1st, 3rd, or even 10th game, being able to keep your composure and uphold a promise of silence should pay off in the long run.

After all, I hardly remember any games right now that I had been upset about in the past. So, obviously, me being angry must've not been that important, right?

You can turn /all chat off. I generally don't get annoyed at games openly, I just sit there and don't talk ingame (although I may be pissed off on Skype lol). It's a bit sad that I usually end up reporting someone in the game almost every single game that I play though...

 

I have the same problem but usually I'm not getting annoyed because of their mistakes (I just got used to them, they're not challenger, they're making many mistakes and you can't predict what they'll do to help you) but because of their way of thinking - I just start talking with them which ends at arguing with them. I got warns for this and now after giving them 1 advice and reading their response (usually flame because they're challenger and I'm only gold) I just ignore them. Games are much less stresful, much more funny (they're blaming you and they don't know you don't read what they are talking) and you can freely focus on game.

And when I die because of someone not helping me? I say that possibly it was my bad and I shouldn't go in if I wasn't sure he'll come (sometimes it's better to wait for your junglers move to ensure yourself). Then I focus on farming to get back to the game and rape this guy who got money for me

 

Just ping away because the little snitches will report you. If they talk shit just ping the hell out of them its best to just skype with friends and rage quit and them then to talk shit in game.
