GDPR Article 17(1) Request
Hello, how would I best go about submitting a formal request for deletion of my data. I noticed there is no formal way to submit this legally enforceable request.

Ive read through potential exemptions and noted there are non particular to my cassettes, so a generic 'we break the law and don't fulfill legally required gdpr requests' won't suffice. I'd appreciate a guide for the best way to apply for one would be. L_2016119EN.01000101.xml

GDPR Article 17(1) Request
Hello,

I noticed there is no formal way to submit this legally enforceable request.
Last time I brought this topic to Sythe's attention, I was told that this wasn't enforceable.

As you already know, sythe users don't have "the right to vanish", therefore there's no formal way to submit such request.

Due to the way this site functions essentially as a dispute resolution organisation, we need to keep good records. An easy way to do that is not to delete unless required by law.

Since we're not hosted in the EU and not based in the EU we won't be following EU law. The policy on data deletion will continue to be the same as it has always been.

However, you're free to delete some of your posts from a public view (soft-delete) and edit out the rest, apart from archived posts.

Regards,
BB
