    That feeling?

Well, when I first got World of Warcraft in the 5th grade in my birthday it felt so fun... I joined at Halloween time so they had those disguise thingies :p. Doesn't the game feel fun when it's a mystery? When I joined everybody was a complete noob, even the level 60s. I don't know it's just that feeling you get the first time, now I played the game for like 5 years and it just feels boring compared to killing boars all day without getting any experience. So, what do you guys think?

I see what your saying and I agree, during vanilla there was more challenge around doing quests and such. People had to work hard to get their gear upgrades and when you got them it was a beautiful thing.

However now it's more based around getting the BiS items with the highest gearscore and not alot of fun content.

When you try to look at it from Blizzards view(scary stuff) they have done everything right even those people may not like the choices they make generally it is for the best. The problem is that everyone is so quick to level up that they miss out on the fun content in the game and when they get to level 80 they can just steamroll their way through it in 5 seconds and not enjoy it as much as doing it at the intended level.

However looking from another perspective, You got WoW when you was in 5th grade and been playing it for 5 years(with breaks inbetween im assuming). You have grown up and the little things that you thought was cool/amusing back then you probably don't pay much attention to now.

From what I have seen in Cata the content will be a nice change and will most definately be more challenging which will make leveling a new character(s) seem very appealing.

I thoroughly agree with you, Stuart. I'm sincerely hoping that cataclysm lives up to the promises of being a challenge to new and old players.

I Highly doubt cataclysm will fix anything. It will add a oh WOW! factor for awhile then it will be a grind fest just with more CC involved and new spells. Unless blizzard cooks up something grand but wow is getting old now it's mainly go arena or gtfo at this point.

Yeah I agree, that feeling was lost long ago and isn't ever coming back imo, blizz can try to fix it but with new abilities and zones, but it won't be the same feeling that you felt when the game first came out sadly :(

    100% agreed.

i vanilla, there was no random dungeons, experience in battleground (and a battleground finder). it was harder to level then 1-60, then it is now to level 1-80. in classic when i made my 1st character it took me about a month to get my 1st toon to 30, now i can get a toon to 30 in a couple days. plus now that blizzard has implemented recruit a friend, you can egt to 60 withen 6 days.

it is really upsetting because the majority of new players will just dungeon their way up, without experiencing the true aspects that the game has to offer. not only that new players will que for tanks/healer so they don't have to wait so long. you get in there, your warrior is fury spec'd or hes prot speced but you have to teach him to tank. it really kills the game for other players at the same time killing the new players experience

i still think WoW have stayed at TBC...

To get the RAF bonus you have to be near someone and 3 lvls within each other and if i recruit you and you get to 60 you can grant me 30 free levels to any toon below 60
