'Banned users have no rights'

A while back people were posting personal info/photos of banned users and nothing was done, the reason I read was that banned users have no rights, especially in the event they're banned for a malicious reason or a number of them.

Is this true or was this just not being properly moderated and the banned users have no rights thing is a troll?

Just to be clear i'm not asking if we can just openly post the information of whoever we like as long as they're banned

No it's not true, at least not when I was banned. Magic arrow was forum banned for a month for releasing my information I believe after I was banned. They were threatening to go to my high school at the time, and were apparently "calling" me. I never received any phone calls, but I think they were told to stop, and to not do it again.

 

Could have been punished due to the threats/actual actions they were taking part in, what I was remembering was far more recent, i'm pretty sure 2013-2014 era. I believe some of the banned users who had a photo or 2 / maybe other info posted were Chloecat (just a photo while she was banned for scamming fucknut ooga like a 30 second chat on tinychat), SmperFidelis and possibly a few others. Also not too long ago Hattez was banned for releasing personal info of a few scammers, but I thought the only reason he was punished was because one was still associated with the community/attempting to be pardoned or something, not sure.
