    What languages do you know?

    In that case, all you need to know is how to make text appear? :p

    Alright, of the listed:

    Java
    C
    C++
    VB
    C#
    PHP
    HTML
    xHTML
    CSS
    ASP
    JavaScript

    I know PHP, x/HTML, CSS and Visual Basic in depth. Everything else I know enough to get by in.

    By the way, PHP is listed twice.

    What languages do you know?

    I know some basics.

    Java
    HTML
    Pascal
    C++
    VB.Net

    And I wish to learn more. But right now, I am in lazy mode lol.
    But I'm going to refresh my java knowledge and add more knowledge to myself.
    Just one thing I hate in java is case sensitive.

    Case sensitivity is a part of almost any language except for basic. Why don't you like it? It's standard.

    I love case sensitivity. It makes it so much more structured.

    Java is easy, structured, open, has many sources to choose from, and can do anything.

    And of course, everyone love it :D, so do I

    What languages do you know?

    In example, the one thing I hate in case sensitivity in Java is like

    readLine....

    In where other language, the capitalization starts on the first word of the syntax. Or some language rarely use capitalization. And I have issues remembering stuffs, so just I hate case senstivity.

    That's a pretty standard naming scheme - once I got used to it I found I liked it more. Most functions tend to begin with a lowercase letter and for each new "word" in the name there is a capital - it's easier to read, and not hard to get used to typing.

    What languages do you know?

    I don't find it is used widely enough to be considered a standard. For whatever reasons the most useful languages just don't imitate each other enough in that respect and it's really unfortunate for the programmer who has to remember the conventions for each one.

    Out of the main languages in the poll here are their typical conventions in APIs:
    Java - writeLine()
    Python - writeline()
    PHP - write_line()
    C# - WriteLine()
    C/C++ - usually writeline()

    I prefer the Java convention myself as well and am very disappointed that Python doesn't do it as it is also a very nice and useful language in its own respect. :(

    What languages do you know?

    I meant standard as in regardless of the naming conventions of the language itself, programmers often use it for their own code.

    At your issue with python though, if you wanted it really badly couldn't you just make a bunch of wrappers for the functions you use commonly?
