    Game Concept

    Hey Guys,
    I've been reading around, and although a lot of people's ideas are somewhat new, they all still revolve around the levelling system.
    My Idea:
    All based on Percents.
    You start off at say 5% all skills. As you (I'm going to use combat) attack, every successful attack gains you a small percentage boost, which immediately kicks in. You don't have to wait for "level ups" to start hitting harder.

    Also I think their should be some type of interactiveness, maybe to speed up attacks use the spacebar and a bar from Gears of War when you reload (you press reload, and a cursor moves along a bar, if you press reload again exactly right, you get a damage bonus on a percent of the bullets (depends on how many bullets still in the gun when you reloaded and on the accuracy of the reload) and a faster reload).

    One thing I'm torn about is whether you should get percent boosts or attack boosts for training in one spot for extended periods of time. (ex timeplayedinarea x 0.005 = amount-to-add-onto-each-successful-attack)
    But that might promote botting and or people not moving around as much (makes world more boring).

    Also again, if possible (not sure if it is possible), I'd sure like to see everyone playing on one big server, versus people playing on seperate servers like in runescape. If that isn't possible, I'd still like lots of elements to combine everyone. The Grand Exchange is one good one from runescape, but I'm thinking duels from all 'worlds', etc... etc...

    Alright, my idea's on a winnning idea.
    Please post comments on how my ideas should be honed.

    I still think levels are good, because people will see and feel changed from one level to the next. If the skill increased with ever percentage gain, people would not see the difference and become bored.

    I like this idea of interactiveness. Players should be better or worse than other player not only by skill levels, but also by how well they handle the game.

    Like you said...But that might promote botting.

    I am not sure if this is possible, but I will research and hopefully come up with something.

    I don't know if Sythe is putting modern warfare/weapons in it, but that is seriously an awesome idea. No food needed, no pointless, boring, tedious skills; just AwEsOmEnEsS!
