[Game] - Completed SuperMario Game

Hey all,

I just found time to upload my SuperMario Game onto megaupload.com

I have around 4 months of experience in Visual Basic and 6 months of experience in Java.

This game took me around 3 months to make (it was a school project, which is why it took so long).

Edit: Ah yes, and the spacebar is to start the game. Just to make things clear.

took me like 15 mins to figure out how to run... i played for like 5 mins... its very well done!


btw awsurvay is a scam.. you never get more survays to do. :/

Only problem is that I don't know how to make him jump in a curved shape. I've tried to do it (as seen in the Mario Class) but it won't work. Any tips?

It pays once at $75, so that's why I'm trying now.

 

I downloaded and extracted, but how do i run it?

 

You open up JCreator.

Click File -> Open Workspace -> [projectname]

Then Click Compile Project -> Run Project

There, you should be able to play it. Spacebar starts the game.

 

its not that bad...needs a little work

 

It's all to do with angles and trajectory, I think.

Of course, there is a mathematical algorithm involved, and I haven't much an idea about 2D game physics, so you could probably read up on it somewhere.

 

hmm ive had a book somewhere on java, and it was talking about the arced jump, ill look into it and post the method tomorrow.
