Vaynes champ tier

So, I was checking champ tiers on nerfplz, and I see that Vayne is marked as "balanced".
Why would that be? Vayne isn't among the most popular champions, and it has one of the lowest winning rates. She also gets countered by most AD carries.

 

Because she still has that threatening late-game carry status. Though not as scary as she used to be, she can still get there, and if she does it's going to be painful. The tradeoff of this is that she needs to survive or even win early game, which can be pretty tricky.

 

To me, Vayne is pretty much trash tier right now because she's supposed to be a scary late-game champ, and she's not the best at that right now. Not even close. She may not be trash tier, but she isn't strong enough to play.

 

but she is a scary late game monster. The problem for me with her atm with the release of the new ad's and the support meta is the lane phase. Annie can poop on vayne's head anytime.

 

She really isn't though. Vayne is trash early, decent mid game, mediocre late game.

 

Her laning phase is pretty weak compared to most ADCs. Everyone's always saying that her late game is deadly but you can easily shut her down late game if you know what you're doing.

 

Her late game might be deadly, but that's because of her hp% damage. It might work against tanks, but not on a duel against another adc.
That's why I think Vayne top might be balanced, but Vayne adc just gets shit on.

 

Vayne top doesn't work because she is an instant kill any time a jungler wants to come up.

 

Can someone explain why Vayne is so bad now? Is it because of the E nerf?

 

It's not that she's bad. She relies on her team a lot. So team composition is key when playing Vayne. Also she's out classed by most ADCs during laning phase.

 

The meta focuses on stronger, more aggressive supports, which makes Vayne 's early game even more of a problem. Her low range means she can't safely farm without taking an Annie stun, Karma ultimate, or Leona shield to the face.

The nerf only solidified her has unable to win trades in lane. Her main combo in lane was AA, AA, condemn, and the third AA proc from the condemn. Removing this crippled Vayne 's ability to win trades (harrass).

Thirdly, she's simply out classed. Her late game steroid (bolts) is hella strong against tanks, but a well-itemize Tristana or Jinx will do more damage even to tanks, due to their steroids. A 90%/115% ASP steroid is stronger than silver bolts.

And, lastly, the meta is pushing out the ADCs who are weak midgame, including Caitlyn and Trist. These carries offer little objective control compared with the Big 3 (Jinx, Lucian, Sivir) and crucial objectives are often lost between 17 and 25 minutes.

In short:
Want strong laning? Catlyn, sivir, lucian
Want a good seige? Caitlyn, sivir
Want a strong overall transition between lane and midgame? Jinx, lucian
Want a good late game steroid? Jinx, trist
The enemy has TWO or more HP stacking champs? Vayne

An honorable mention here is Varus, who lost favor due to his lack of an escape. Stronger supports let Varus remain as aggressive as he should be during the entire game, and he also has a % HP shred.

 

Honestly, Vayne is always been amazing. I don't know what everyone here is talking about, at D1 Vayne is picked nearly every game.

Her laning phase is still good if played properly, she can be bullied by Cait 1-5 but it's not impossible to be behind 5-10 CS.

 

I've played at least a dozen Diamond I games in the past week or two; Vayne was in one of them. And I completely wrecked the guy as Varus.

 

I still see Gosu, Fabby, and a bunch of other top-tier Vayne players stomping. She's mechanically the most high-rewarding ADC with limitless potential. Her Q can be used to manhandle Varus in every way shape and form. Her E is perfect disengage, granted it all comes down to the support as well.

 

That is, given Varus doesn't shit on you with his burst.

 

How can you say that though?

Not one other ADC is better then Vayne late game, not one ADC can 1v1 Vayne late game.

How is he mediocre?

He can 1v1 top lane bruiser late game 6 items, no other ADC can do that.

For fucks sake, he can 1v1 Renekton 6 items. He can nearly 1v1 Nasus 6 items if he kites properly.

The thing that Vayne is, the shift in ADCs/Supports. It's now a lot of Lucien and Sivir, which really hard counter Vayne a lot more then Caitlyn ever could.

 

What Varus burst? His entire burst is reliant on landing Q, which Vayne has no problem dodging. If Varus decided to all-in without a Leona, he wouldn't be able to 1 hit him.

But honestly, Varus/Leona is just ezmode and Vayne will be crushed if they play it right. But once again, a good Vayne can easily outplay them.

He's the best ADC in this game, by far if you have the mechanics. Nothing will ever beat 2 blinks, that W, and his amazing passive that is the best thing in this game combined with his ult.

 

mediocre lategame? are you serious? Vayne late game is one of the top 5 ad carrys with more lategame potential (i insert here Tristana for example )

 

For someone who has that many problems early she should be the #1 late game champ but is outclassed by soo many other champs.

 

yeah i understand that and it should be like that... But like Ow 3 Hit said Vayne has so much mobility, cc, % shred and mini stealth, 1v1 i only see draven, cait and tristana killing her lategame... not lucian, sivir or jynx
