Gaining MMR and becoming a better player.

Recently I've been gaining more and more MMR now that I've got out of bronze and have slowly started getting to higher parts of silver. A few people have told me that it's easier to gain MMR and carry games on the NA servers, if anyone knows anything about this then it'd be great if you could tell me.

I'm from the UK so I don't know if I'd lagg on the NA server.

I'd like to get a lot better at League and have heard of coaching classes? Are these worth it?

 

Coaching from diamond level players can be invaluable. I would definitely recommend it if you haven't already looked into it.

 

If you're interested in coaching from top-tier players, you should definitely watch streams from Crs Voyboy, Trick2g, etc.

You'll have 100~150ms ping with a good internet. Recommended for games like league is about 60~80ms and thats already a bit meh... It makes a diference, but it won't hurt you to try!

 

Is there really difference in low division solo Q between NA and EU servers? :O

 

Coaching could be a good experience, but I wouldn't necessarily pay for it. Like someone suggested you could watch streams. Personally I'd make friends with a high tier player who could coach you in a couple games or critique your gameplay footage. Some coaches will charge as much as $30/hour and with a game like league that could only be a game and a half.

 

I don't mind if I need to spend money, but I don't want to spend money on something that doesn't work.

 

In that case go for it, most coaches promise a significant jump in your level of gameplay after a few hours of coaching.

 

Go to Twitch.Tv - they'll teach you more then anybody could type.

 

Honestly there is not much of a difference in servers, certain servers have more or less competition but its all the same in the end and yeah once you get out of bronze and low silver the meta changes a good bit you will get a better quality game (at least more often lol)

 

Just an update on this post... I got about 1-2 hours of coaching by my mate that's a Diamond 1 support, I filled a note pad up full I stuff I should do. I've listened to it and kept doing what I was doing already and the stuff he told me to do... This is the sort of out come I'm getting even when my adc couldn't play...



I understand this is only one game and that I still have room to improve but from now on I will blame myself for dying and work on what I did wrong from there. If you blame others that will just make them troll, thanks for the tips guys!

If you need to learn somethings general about the game, mostly focused on jungle, I highly recommend you visit Foxdrop's channel over on youtube, and also take a look at his brother Phy. They both make good videos and explain tactics, plays and teach people how to train certain stuff on the game.
