Newbie Needs Opinions

I had someone contact me regarding a job I had posted. Now the price point said person gave me was well below the norm it seemed and they had a good 25+ vouches but mind you they've only been here since April of this year.

The total value of this job was a little over 300m, and I didn't feel he was safe to go first with so I offered to pay for an MM. He refused stating due to the length of the job (4-6 weeks) it would just be a hassle or something. This striked me as odd, so I offered increments and he said that goes against his TOS, and his workers need to "paid in full". I then offered him a smaller job, and I haven't heard back from him but this behavior strikes me as scammish.

Am I wrong? I was willing to go first for all the other methods I presented to him. What do you think?

I don't think you were wrong, if you didn't feel safe handing over the account and cash for him to provide the service then you'd get a MM like you said.

If he refused that's his loss then I guess, he doesn't sound like a good service person tbh. try to find someone more vouches or bigger donator but keep in mind even they are risky as they can still scam, just less likely.
