In my opinion, just because Finn feels very strongly about what Shall Skill has done, he still didn't break a Sythe.org rule (flaming at the most). If anything, the other mods should be included in the decision.

Another point: Finn is very attached to the personal support forum, as I myself got banned from it for a mock thread (I fell that a infraction would be appropriate), and there are other reports of Finn not allowing any sort of misbehavior whatsoever in Personal Support. I feel like opinion is outweighing protocol here.

 

Finn has let all the power go to his head.

 

I'll stick around Sythe until I at least see Finn demoted. Then I could die happy. I don't have any respect for him anymore.

Finn's second argument made sense. I was polite and got a infraction over turned. I can understand his bitterness as I also don't agree with Finn's call, but maybe a little bit more politeness could have gone a long way.

 

The point of this wasn't for everyone to bash Finn, I wanted to see if anyone agreed with my opinion that Finn's opinion is outweighing protocol in his decisions of late.

I was the one who issued the temp for the suicide comment. Ultimately, it was Finn's decision to perm him, and I support it. Shall Skill knew the rules but continued to deliberately and maliciously violate them. Staff got tired of his bullshit, basically.

Also, the site is a dictatorship (hierarchy to be precise.) It is not and has never been a democracy or any other type of mock-government system. Sythe picks his staff who are given certain powers to make decisions.

 

I'm all for the ban, maybe if he is seriously disputing it then turn it into a temp 1 month ban.

The support section is taken seriously and his actions were uncalled for imo.

I understand that the users don't "vote" for moderators and so forth, and I wasn't implying that sythe should be a democracy, I was simply stating that it seems like if several of the mods feel differently about a rash decision, that maybe it should be taken into discussion rather than dictated by one person.

Also, you mentioned that Shall Skill knew the rules, but decided to break them anyway, what rule did he violate that called for an immediate permanent ban?

Just in case you didn't noticed... In real life, especially if you live in the United States. We do not have any rights, the constitution and the bill of rights can be suspended at anytime. Which means.. if the government feels you don't deserve those rights.. for whatever reason.. your fucked.
