Friend Muling to RWT Warned Account - Would it work?

Hey guys, I have a maxed main account that got a RWT warning back in January of this year. No bans, just a warning. I've bought some bonds on this account but want to buy 1b. My friend offered to use his old main account that I have added on my account for years now for me to mule a tbow on.


So my plan is to buy a tbow, have my friend receive it on his account on his internet, then wait maybe a month or two before trading that tbow over to me just to make sure he doesn't get banned for RWT. Do you guys think this would work? I think having a high level account that has been my friend for years makes it less suspicious, but then again he doesn't log into that account at all since he mainly plays on his ironman.

 

You should just buy the Tbow directly (buying the item, instead of gold, or negotiating with a gold seller to buy the tbow to sell to you). I suggest buying through a reputable discord trader instead of using a gold selling website as they receive much less traffic and are more likely to use accounts that are less likely to be flagged for RWT. The likelihood that they would ban a maxed account for this is slim and tbows are an item that are lent out a lot in the PvM community consistently so they appear in trades. Just make sure to trade something like a bond for the Tbow in the trade to give the impression of collat.

 

Yeah I plan on buying the actual tbow from a lowkey seller. I’m probably going to give like 2-3 bonds so when I trade the tbow over to myself he can just activate the bond. Do you know if it’s more believable if we “act” and message each other when this happens? For example, I’ll have him message me when he trades over the tbow that he wants me to hold it for him while he focuses on his iron lol

 

You can do that, but it isn’t really necessary. Especially with 3rd party platforms like discord being the hub of communication for gamers. I don’t think it would raise flags for Jagex, but whatever additional preventative measures you think will work, you can do for personal security. As for the bonds, the more value, the better.

 

I’ll probably give him a few bonds then. You don’t think it will raise a flag if I’m getting traded a tbow even though I got a warning earlier this year? I appreciate all your help btw.

 

Were you buying gold when you received the first offense? If so, then you should go the route of buying items from now on. The tbow - albeit is an expensive item, it is commonly traded between accounts. I have bought a couple tbows in the past and nothing has happened since. All I did was trade a bond.

Note: There is always a risk with RWT. I suggest to not overthink it too much. I understand you received a first offense, but I highly doubt they would ban a maxed account for being traded a tbow (common in pvm community).

For additional measures, you can have the person you are buying from, make it so the account they are trading from is on a higher level account (above mid level) if they have one available. That should quell some fear you have.
