2010 Halloween Event - Discussion Thread

Discuss your thoughts on what you thought of the event. What could have been better, things you didn't like, thinks that stood out to you.

Basic Objectives: Pumpkin Pete needs help getting his party ready and there are people there that are not ready for it, help them to make the party a blast.

Spider task: find the hidden spiders and get them to get dance floor, then put them under their respected spotlights.

Werewolf task: make the werewolves a bottle of moonshine, with the hints on what ingredients go when

Grim Reaper task: get him a autograph from his favorite band's singer by choosing the right conversation options

Rewards:
Bone Brooch - turns you into a pile of bones
Puppet Master emote

 

Sounds retarted

 

Boring events. Boring rewards.

 

Took too long..lost my interest..but best rewards since 06.

 

i like the emote kinda. but its lame when a bunch of people are doing it together

 

Boring event, but I always get just use the guides. I think the reward is kind of cool, though, might be useful in pvp

 

Their giving all the cool looking emotes away too easily.

I tried it for abit, quit, not worth it. Crappy event.

 

Event was long and terrible :s but they all are anymore.
The rewards are halfway decent though.

brooch might be fun to use at GDZ in pvp

 

I might get on runescape to do it just for the emote and item, I don't know, was it worth the time it takes?

 

I'm bout to go and see what its like, heard it was pretty will comeback and give my opinions on this post.

EDIT: took around 20-30 minutes the "Head Singer" was the mosy annoying part, but the emote is quite awesome, and the item you get is also quite worth it.

 

So it's another horribly long event? Gah...

 

It takes a long time when you don't know how to do it. Otherwise, it takes 20 mins, same with all past holiday events.

the spider puzzle is a pain in the ass so be aware :L

overall i find neither worthless or worth getting

 

you make the long perilous journey of 30 minutes look worth it, but still i find no great desire for the reward.. sigh, you've truly lost me runescape.

 

Tbh, I actually think the puppet emote is really fun. As for the brooch...I like it but I thought it would turn us into just a bone sitting there, you know like how the ring of stone makes you look very similiar to oreless rocks.

They should have made something like this a few years ago though because it's too nice to be so common imo but it's actually looking like events are getting a bit more thought now.

I don't see why people just see events as chores, I actually find them fun even if they don't live up to all of the hype. Holidays are probably one of the few things I actually look forward to each year nowadays.

 

did some1 say 30mins? cmon aint no one that retarted it took 30mins? i think i finished it in like 10min all u had to do was find the spiders and click some spiders and see grim then click a few sentances on the drunk guy lol

 

lol any other reward other than those? if not ill pass.... i want some expppp

its not as hard as some people make it sound :S
with the drunk guy you just have to find the right combination (its a real pain tho the first time), finding the spiders is a small pain but the puzzle is easy as pie.
And then the moonshine potion, well blah, they coulda made that more challenging...

It took me 30 mins... but i'd say the rewards are well worth it

 

Without a guide and the first time, its a pain in the ass. It took me 1 hour and 36 mins. ^_^ Well I like the emote apart from that shitty rewards.
