...and it just goes on like that...how could anybody like that stuff? I have noticed however that his fans are generally very boring people.

Different people different tastes. His music will always appeal to some, for whatever reasons.

 

He gets heavy rotation on the radio and MTV

Because MTV plays it, people listen to it

 

Well I wonder why THAT is. Although I suppose that the radio will be willing to play anything catchy and generic because it's easy to listen to.

 

Some people are too lazy to actually find better music

 

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean others won't....some people listen to the song because of the beat, not the lyrics.

 

Well actually the average rating for the entire album on itunes is 1.5 stars out of five. And he doesn't make his own beats, his producer does, so I can't figure out why that producer didn't just pick a better rapper. Oh well.

 

Yeh, I never really get how people likes his songs. But Crank Dat Soulja Boy is actually kinda good.

Never really listened to Soulja Boy.

But the guy has a lot of fans, so he's doing something right.

 

Meh, I like the Young Jeezy version of this song, its pretty good. I just dont like soulja boys sound or anything, some of the music is ok.

 

Because Has Nice beat . His lyrics suck ass people dont even care about lyrics anymore . IM ashamed Of all theese lame rappers like souldja boy.

 

I abandoned this thread because it was a bit of a joke, but if you're really intent on reading my response, you can. I have the right of course to express how I feel about music, and I'm not trying to change anyone's mind. The phrase "how does he sell albums?" more expresses my opinion than is an honest, expecting-a-straight-answer question. I also can bash and encourage others to bash other people's music all I want. I was looking for people's opinions as to how he's become popular when, looked at in an analytic perspective, his lyrics are rather shallow and cliche...I suppose you don't like to look at music in an analytic sense? After all, this is a tunes ANALYSIS section.

How does he come up with these beautiful lyrics? Really, the radio plays soulja boy, and people listen to soulja boy.
