    Freedom of speech.

Well yeah, you think yeah we have our freedom in a forum but do we?

A forum has it's own laws, rules, so does the government doesn't it?

A forum can silence you by deleting your posts, threads. So can a government by doing various stuff.

How would the internet separate with real life?

If we don't have freedom of speech in a forum, why would a forum be a great idea? Because it's socializing your discussing but you can do that in real life, without these restrictions but still you use a forum.

Are we brain washed, or are we just slaves for people.

We donate to these stuff, but still we get awarded with userbars and some awards? How is this benifical... no it's not? Why do it? I don't know.

Donating is helping the community, by not going bankrupt. But you see starving kids in Africa? Why not donate to them? They need it more than a community.

Forums, has they're own private sections where they discuss stuff behind the community, so does the government, keeps secrets from us.

    Freedom of speech.

Really confused by your post... But for most people, they couldn't find a group of 100's of runescape players in real life.

Also, because people donate to things that are meaningful and close to them.

    Freedom of speech.

If you sign up to the forum, you are agreeing to abide by the rules or get exiled. If you dont want to abide then you can leave. Its like going to a country that has a dictatorship then complaining about freedom.

Not directly aimed at you btw just explaining it.

There cannot be order without laws and restrictions. If this forum didn't have rules there would pornographic spam all over the place. The only times a mod closes a topic is when it gets out of hand or mindless off-topic garbage is posted in a section specific to certain type of discussion.

That's ridiculous. Most of us came to Sythe to do business, the discussion of real world topics is merely a way to pass the time. As for people who joined for the sole purpose of discussing and socializing, do you think that maybe they'd like to seek out the opinions of people outside of their community?

    Alright...

Most people donate as a way to give back to the site as a way of showing appreciation for the services they have been provided with. How do you know there aren't people here who are involved with humanitarian causes?

Do you honestly think that it would be logical for an establishment to relinquish every bit of information to the public? Of course not, there would be an immense amount of discord among the community if everyone knew everything that happened at all times.

    Freedom of speech.

    Seems like somebody's unhappy.

But more seriously, I say people should give their money to whoever they want. If the Africans don't like the situation they're in, they should do something to change it rather than rely on charity.

I believe we SHOULD have free speech, but we don't. Mainly because this is a privately owned site and Sythe, as the owner, can make up whatever rules he wants. Sure, you have freedom to not follow them. But you will still have to suffer the consequences because they have the freedom to ban you if they choose.

    lotsa other stuff.

    Freedom of speech.

It's much easier to run a successful community without being held back by silly "rights". In theory a perfect dictatorship is the best form of government but it doesn't work in the real world. However in the small scale here it works fine for the most part since we aren't responsible for killing people or anything.
