Fake Dr. Dre's

FML. I bought a pair of Dr. Dre's from a fiend for $50 and ended up being fake.. It came factory sealed and had no reason to believe it was tampered with/fake.



I watched a video on how to spot if its fake and realized it was after unboxing it. Didn't realize how good some counterfeit goods are(comes with manual, etc). So disappointing >_< :'(.

 

Damn that sucks. Mind sharing what was different..?

I see them at markets all the time for like $30. The only difference I can tell (without un-boxing) is the price.

Thats harsh man.. and yes, the market for fake goods like that is insane. You should see all the rip offs of big names, Coach, Louis Vutton etc. for bags, jewellry, whatever. If there is anything that is authentic and expensive, people will find a way to make a fake rip off of the authentic version and then sell it for the full price.

OT: I don't understand what the big deal is about dr dre headphones...I can buy 8$ sony ear buds at walmart and they probably work just as good.

That sucks. If people didn't spend so much on stupid shit, nobody would want to fake them.

Well the box of the fakes are smaller then the real. The text on the side is brighter on the real ones. The face of dr. dre on the back is darker on the fakes. After checking that, I was convinced it was fake and opened it. When you open it, you can tell by the quality of the box itself(the inside). I found out by watching this comparison video of fake vs real.

Well they are obviously built with cheaper materials. The headphones look real but when you feel them with your hand, you can tell it was made with cheap plastic rathera then metal. I have read that people feel the same sound quality but after a few weeks, it gets worse.

Stupid shit? A pair of these headphones are a luxury item and not a necessity so a lot of things(ipod, name brand clothes, etc) can be considered stupid shit by someone in a worse financial situation. Personally, I am not a fan of this company but just thought I'd put that out there.

 

Who cares if they are fake it they work? Or am I missing something?

I wouldn't have bought them at that price, knowing they were fake . For luxury headphones you expect more then them to just "work" but work well lol.

The only way to be sure if it is fake without purchasing it is from buying chain store or from the website itself.

You can't trust anyone, and why would your friend sell you a $100 pair of headphones for $50? Didn't that look suspicious automatically? I would just go beat my money out of him.
