Minecraft Lag ? I got a new computer

Hey I got a new computer recently with 512MB graphics, 2.8GHz premium dual core and minecraft still lags?

I've tried game booster but it still lags?

Is it just my computer is shit ?

My computer meets those requirements? Im running windows Vista with 4GB ram.

 

Hmmmm..... Did you try setting your settings to low? If not, go to options and turn the render distance to short, turn the graphics to fast, and view bobbing off. Also, don't know if it will help, but try turning any antivirus software off and other applications you really don't need running. Use game booster as it helps a lot, I use it for Minecraft as well but try shutting more applications down and using game booster.

 

all my settings are on low, but it still lags abit :/

 

What about using game booster to defragment your game files and stuff or something like that. I am not fully sure about the procedure but you could try it out.

 

Assuming your using windows, alt+ctrl+del > processes > right click javaw.exe > set affinity > make sure only one CPU is clicked. Also try right-click javaw.exe and set priority to high.

You'ld be surprised at what specs you actually need to run the game without a problem.
