Question about Dark Bow PKing..

So I'm new to the idea of Members PKing and wish to have some insight as to what kind of combination, if at all, I should be..

GOALS:
40/50 Attack
99/99 Strength
1/1 Defence
99/99 Ranged
1/1 Prayer
75/85 Magic
90/99 Hitpoints

I wish to know:
- How many Special's can be used on a Dark Bow before it requires time to recharge?
- If I switch to a secondary weapon (Melee) immediately after using the Special Attack on the Dark Bow, will the Melee weapon of choice have a new Special Attack Bar with full charge, or other?
- Possible outfits and inventories to be used while Members PKing..?

ANY ADVICE/HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! =]

 

Get range void, blitz your target first then spec dbow with d arrows. 100% ownage.

Void is an outfit that is gained in pest control which is a minigame similar to soulwars. Void gives the best range bonus's.

Blitz is a spell in the ancient magiks spellbook which is obtained by completing the desert treasure quest.

The spell freezes your opponent and does not allow him to run away, it also deals a fair amount of damange.

Also to answer some questions, I think a Dbow uses 55% of your special bar so you will have to wait like 1 minute for it to recharge, thus you only get one shot at KOing your target.

Switching to weapons does not automatically recharge your special bar as it is a constant thing just like your HP. By that I mean that just like HP your special bar doesn't just automatically get replenished by switching to another weapon . It only gets replenished through time.

 

Get range void it is amazing

 

Get 60 attack and go dragon bolts to dragon claws

 

u need void for max damage

 

with my 1 defence, i went trial pking, did some special attacks with dark bow and dragon arrows.. 65% special attack used, and i only got 80+80.. i did it 2 times on 2 different people.. wth. im 99 ranged.

 

it's just lucky, sometimes you only hit 160, other times you hit over 9000

 

what would be a max hit for this account? without prayer or void..

You can't use void on a 1 def account.

 

Really?? I didn't know that you needed 42 Attack, Strength, Ranged, Defence, Hitpoints, and Magic, along with 22 Prayer to use it.

That's why I didn't just ask what my max hit would be without the use of it..

EDIT: Just realised that Void Armour, in no way increases Range Attack. Therefore rendering my question moot.

 

Special is 55% of Bar

A fun thing to do is blitz-dbow spec-DDS
but you would need 60 attack
Outfits= Zammy, RFD gloves, black dhide chaps, glory, life, ava attractor, msb, rune arrows, d arrows, dbow, rcbow, dbolts, full inv of 1 pray pot, 3 restores 5 brews, blitzes, and rocktails/sharks

 

Actually if you have full void + void ranger helm it gives you a range bonus. It is widely used in PVP and BH for a reason.

Also the max hit at 99 range with only a range pot and a Dbow spec (On accurate not rapid) is 354.31 x 2

according to this calculator - http://www.scape-xp.com/runescape-ranged-max-hit.html

If you have prayer than it will be slightly higher. So overall that is actually not a bad spec you would hit 354.31 and 354.31 giving you a total hit of 708.62 which is quite a bit of damage.

 

65% with dragon arrows.. 55% for other arrows.. 2 different specs depending on arrow type.

As for Void armour, even the helmet for range does not give you attack bonus. Only defence.

I'd do what I see many pkers do, just use your normal weapon (Rune scimmy or rune cbow) and then when your opponent is low, switch to your dbow, attack with it, then quickly switch to your gmaul and use its two specs. You should do good doing that

 

If I tried using a Rune Scimitar on a members server in PvP, I'd simply get raped.

 

That's not true, I have a G maul pure and I use a rune scim, and I actually do pretty good.
