This isn't new, it's known but I wouldn't say super well known. It's a seedy, scumbaggish method. Social engineering, posing as a girl, but it works. 100's of dollars worth of RP sometimes from one chump.

Simply make a Google Voice # for texting.

Troll ChatRoulette posing as a young, horny babe wanting to text. Keep your google voice # in your bio and set it to auto-skip chat every 30-60 seconds.

Leave your Google Voice # open in a page to keep an eye on it.

Wait until you get some bites. Flirt with the guys a little (lol)

Tell them you need help with your phone. Your phone won't receive a text you need.

If they agree to help, ask them if you can try to forward the text to them.

If they agree, use the Pay by Mobile option to buy RP in League.

Put their number in, and confirm.

When it asks for the PIN #, tell them you need the 4 digit # from the text.

Profit.

This is also known as e-whoring.. and, as it's social engineering; pretty much scamming, I'm gonna go ahead and say this would be against Sythe rules. We'll see what the mods have to say.

 

All it is, is information. Sythe, or myself are not responsible for how it's used.

 

Sythe.org does not tolerate scamming. You could use the same argument to post a scamming guide, or DDoSing guide, or keylogging guide, hell, even how to hack a website. All of the which would not be tolerated, as Sythe does not condone scamming / hacking / blackhat activity.

 

Regardless, there aren't many places where like minded individuals congregate. Not all, but some people here will not have a problem with a little e-whoring to get some free RP.

Being able to have all champs, runes, rune pages, and tons of skins for free is worth a little self degradation.

 

It's not about the 'some people'. It's the fact that Sythe doesn't condone scamming, which means they're not going to condone a scamming guide on their site. It's the simple. The few people who read this, and have no morals might get some use out of this before it's closed.

 

Hear that? Those of you without morals may want to copy and paste this method to a .txt file before the hand of judgement shuts it down.
