Eh... You can still do it if your connection is above 2mb in most cases, but you just have to stop it quicker.

 

Nice Guide. I personally downloaded an add-in from firefox called Ad-Block plus. Yes you may get ads for about 5 minutes but after that there's no more. Just remember to set it once you have run RS in f2p. Right click add to block or whatever. Either way, good guide.

 

People keep saying that... I think that this way would be easier though.

Well IE 7 doesn't have a stop button, so Firefox is just easier since it's the same for everyone.

 

Thanks I use a different method though, I right click the ad before it loads and click stop. So that stops the ad from loading.

I've had ABP since it came out, I don't think it works on Runescape.com. - Works for sythe ads (But I disabled adblocking on all the forums I am registered at - but tip.it)


Nice guide, I knew how about this, but I was hoping that there will be a way to remove the thing completely , so the applet is on top of the page

 

I don't think it's possible to remove it completely, but you can always block it, then make the window smaller vertically and scroll down. That should be about the same.
